COVID-19 outbreak declared for Normandeau School after two cases confirmed
A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared for Normandeau School in Red Deer after two cases were confirmed in individuals from the school.
Normandeau School is the second in the city to have an outbreak declared, joining Hunting Hills High School where a sixth case of the virus has now been confirmed.
“These individuals did not attend school while infectious and consequently no students or staff at Normandeau will be required to isolate,” Principal Lisa Spicer said in a letter to parents. “Because the individuals followed the correct protocols and stayed home until they received test results, our staff and students will continue their learning as per normal.”
A COVID-19 outbreak was declared for Hunting Hills last month after five cases were confirmed in the span of a few days.
