A pair of central Alberta businesses have cast their support behind the Lacombe Performing Arts Centre Foundation.

On Friday, Foundation president Grant Harder announced SHUNDA Consulting and Construction as the title sponsor of the Theatre, and Nowco Home Hardware as title sponsor of the Fireside Room.

“It is with tremendous generosity of sponsors like SHUNDA Consulting and Nowco Home Hardware that our Centre will continue to grow and thrive. Thanks to these great companies for supporting the arts,” says Harder, in a press release.

Like many companies and organizations this year, Lacombe Performing Arts Centre had to close its doors for a few months due to the pandemic and were not able to provide some of the key programming to the community this summer, like Music in the Park, which was missed by many.

However, Foundation officials say they continue to grow and provide more programming in-house. Their vision is still said to be committed to continuing their presence in the community as well, with new artistic and interactive opportunities for the public, making arts and culture a fixture in everyday life.

“We couldn’t be prouder to support such a fantastic organization. Lacombe Performing Arts Centre plays such a huge role in our community culture,” adds Tyler Nowochin, owner of Nowco Home Hardware. “Striving to maintain and grow the arts culture is one of those things that makes Lacombe such a unique and wonderful place to live.”

“We couldn’t be more thankful for the support of businesses in the arts and culture sector,” remarks Harder. “Collaboration allows us to keep our ever-growing presence in the community strong.”
