A resolution is in the works for the case of a Sylvan Lake man charged in the death of his wife last year.

In Red Deer Court of Queen’s Bench Monday, Andrew Phypers – acting as agent for defense lawyer Dan Murphy, requested the case for 42-year-old Satnam Singh Sandhu be put over to Jan. 12, 2021 where it’s expected a guilty plea and sentencing will take place.

Previously charged with second-degree murder, Sandhu now faces one count of manslaughter in the death of 36-year-old Kulvinder Sandhu.

Kulvinder Sandhu died in hospital on Sept. 14, 2019, just three days after suffering serious injuries during an incident at a residence in Sylvan Lake.
