City of Lacombe unveils new website

Sep 1, 2020 | 4:09 PM

The City of Lacombe has announced the launch of a brand new website today.

According to City officials, the new website went live at 2:00 p.m. on Sept. 1.

After a public consultation phase that found the previous website needed to do more in terms of functionality and usability for residents, the City searched for options that would significantly benefit residents.

“Lacombe City Council is pleased to see the launch of the new and improved Lacombe.ca,” said Mayor Grant Creasey, in a press release. “We know our residents were looking for a cleaner, streamlined online experience and we believe this new website will improve our citizen’s interactions with their municipality.”

City officials say the reimagined website will offer more to residents, including improved speed, design, and the ability to contact and access City services quicker.

“We are excited to provide the residents of the City of Lacombe with a superior online experience,” added Manager of Computer and Information Services Andrew Reed. “We believe this will help citizens find information quickly and easily from both their mobile devices and their desktop computers.”

Lacombe residents are encouraged to log on to Lacombe.ca and take a tour through the many changes and additions that will promote enhanced customer service with the municipality.

“The City of Lacombe is proud to release this new online experience to the public,” said Matthew Goudy, CAO for the City of Lacombe. “After identifying an improved website as an internal and external need, city staff worked diligently to produce a new Lacombe.ca, which will make the lives of residents a little easier.”
