Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup returns to Red Deer

Join the national effort to keep our waterways and shorelines clean and safe with the Kerry Wood Nature Centre and the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup!

This annual fall initiative draws volunteers from across the city to join together to keep the river and shoreline litter-free.

Due to an abundance of caution amid the COVID-19 health pandemic, pre-registration is required by Sunday, September 13, 2020. The cleanup takes place on the afternoon of Saturday, September 19, 2020. More information is available here.

Partners of the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup include NOVA Chemicals, TD Friends of the Environment Foundation, and Trout Unlimited Canada.
