Active cases of COVID up by one in Central Zone

Alberta is reporting 77 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday and one more death.

This brings the total number of coronavirus cases identified in the province so far to 13,083 including 1,134 that are currently active – down 38 active cases from Monday.

The total number of deaths from the virus now stands at 235 since the start of the pandemic.

Numbers show there are 46 people in hospital with COVID-19 in the province, with seven of those in ICU.

11,714 Albertans have recovered, with 723,302 people tested so far and 903,052 tests conducted.

There are 27 active cases in the Central Zone – up one from Monday. Two are in hospital while 536 have now recovered. There have been seven coronavirus related deaths in Central Zone to this point.

There are nine active cases of COVID-19 in the City of Red Deer currently with 68 people recovered.

  • Red Deer County: One active case.
  • Lacombe County: Four active cases
  • Ponoka County: Zero active cases
  • Mountain View County: One active case
  • Clearwater County: Zero active cases
  • Kneehill County: Zero active cases
  • Town and County of Stettler: One active case
  • Town of Sylvan Lake: Zero active cases
  • City of Lacombe: Zero active cases
  • Town of Innisfail: One active case
  • Town of Rocky Mountain House: Zero active cases
  • Town of Rimbey: Zero active cases
  • Town of Ponoka: Zero active cases
  • Town of Olds: Zero active cases
  • Town of Sundre: Zero active cases
  • Town of Didsbury: One active case

Province-wide, there are 608 active cases in the Edmonton Zone – down 23 from Monday.

340 active cases in the Calgary Zone – down 16 from Monday.

134 active cases in the North Zone – up one from Monday.

Still 20 active cases in the South Zone, and five other active cases of COVID-19 in unconfirmed locations.
