Ponoka Police Advisory Committee invites citizen input
Ponoka’s Police Advisory Committee (PAC) is inviting local citizens to report any crime prevention or public safety concerns they would like to bring to the Committee’s attention.
A Citizen Input Survey has been posted on the Town of Ponoka website at www.ponoka.ca for citizens to submit their concerns or comments to the PAC. The primary role of the Police Advisory Committee is to give residents a voice on public safety and crime prevention matters in order to help foster and maintain a safe and secure community in Ponoka. The PAC is an advisory committee to Ponoka Town Council and acts as a liaison between local citizens, council, local RCMP and the Town’s Chief Administrative Officer.
“We depend on Ponoka citizens to be our eyes and ears in the community. We can’t be everywhere all of the time, so we want people to tell us what their concerns are to help us ensure we’re addressing the issues that are important to our residents,” said Ponoka RCMP Sergeant Erin St – Cyr.
All citizen input received through the survey will be reviewed by the PAC and passed on to the Ponoka RCMP and Town of Ponoka representatives who sit on the committee for their consideration.
