Alberta RCMP prioritizes traffic safety during Heritage Day long weekend
Thousands of tickets and hundreds of warnings were issued to motorists throughout the province over the Heritage Day long weekend.
According to Alberta RCMP, members conducted enforcement initiatives focused on promoting traffic safety.
Between July 31 and August 3, a total of 2559 traffic tickets and 420 warnings were issued in Alberta.
Overall, 1972 individuals were ticketed for speeding, 34 individuals were charged with impaired driving, and six motorists received roadside suspensions.
