July 23

8:04 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Complainant reported window broken on his work truck overnight, various items stolen

8:40 a.m. – Lodgepole – Hwy 753 – Complainant reported 50-60 cows loose – member attended, cows rounded up with local assistance. None found jumping over the moon.

9:02 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 St – Complainant reported he was caring for his toddler granddaughter and found suspicious marks and bruising. Members investigated, findings forwarded to Edmonton Police for followup as incidents occurred there. Safety of the child ensured

10:56 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported harassment via Kijiji, dispute over an item posted. Complainant reported offensive comments from the suspect, who had complained about the complainant the previous evening. Advice was given to both parties on this non-criminal matter

11:05 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a collision in the Tim Hortons drive thru. Still under investigation, two vehicles involved so technically a double-double

11:45 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 49 Ave – Complainant reported harassment by the caller who reported same offence at 10:56 a.m. Both parties advised to stop communicating and that no criminal offence occurred

12:01 p.m. – Brazeau County – RR80 – Complainant reported someone tried to steal her truck about 3 hours earlier. Entry gained via unlocked doors, change stolen from vehicle

12:08 p.m. – Tomahawk – Complainant reported her grandson having some mental health challenges. Members attended and determined that the grandson wasn’t a danger to himself or others and was aware he needed to seek help from a professional.

12:37 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 Ave – Complainant reported two brothers swearing at him in parking lot of an apartment building. Suspects were mad as a car had been towed by complainant. Suspects were warned and told to stay off the property and advised to not leave their uninsured/unregistered vehicle on private property

3:28 p.m. – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge – Complainant reported receiving a suspicious phone call and providing caller with her SIN and some general banking information. Complainant given advice on how to safeguard her identity for the future

3:55 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 49 St – Complainant reported his gate opened and his 2014 Yamaha YFM700R ATV stolen. Under investigation

4:15 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 Ave – Complainant requested a welfare check on a female due to general and mental health concerns. Members attended and determined the female was okay, had a doctor’s appointment the next day

4:59 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 St – Complainant reported her boyfriend had choked her, was harming himself and had left. Members attended and were called multiple derogatory na.m.es by the complainant who was now claiming nothing happened. The male was located and arrested based on the initial call, but subsequently released without charge. Still under investigation

6:05 p.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported that a 20-year-old local male was messaging her 13-year-old daughter. Member attended and viewed the social media circumstances, determining there were not grounds for a charge. Advice given to complainant and daughter

9:40 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Omniplex – Complainant reported a noisy group in the day use area. Member attended and the group agreed to keep the noise down

10:24 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 44 St – Members attended a residence to assist the Fire Department with a house fire. Minor fire, possibly caused by counter-jumping-stove-turning-on-dog.

10:43 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reported a broken down car with two occupants at the end of his driveway. Member attended, occupants had left

11:00 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a white F150 driving erratically. Patrols were made but no matching vehicle was located

11:24 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 St – Complainant reported a suspicious female found going through his neighbours’ yard. Complainant scared her off, members responded but had to re-direct to a priority file

11:28 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant called to report his girlfriend had pushed him down and he was unable to get up. Members attended and found the complainant had fallen down due to excessive alcohol consumption and the girlfriend was trying to help him up. The complainant was not cooperative with police

July 24

1:01 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Hospital – Complainant requested police attend and retrieve a machete left behind by a patient. Machete now in police custody

1:35 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Members responded to a report of a bay door open at a business. Building was cleared and no signs of criminal activity noted. Door may have been left open unintentionally

2:53 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Member assisted a male who had nowhere to go in town

2:57 a.m. – Brazeau County – Willey West – Complainant reported catching two young suspects rifling through his unlocked vehicle. Suspects were from a neighbouring site. Still under investigation

3:18 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Male again called looking for assistance finding a place to stay (repeat of 2:53 a.m. call). Male was driven to a suitable location

3:47 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a co-worker driving a freight truck while impaired. Member located the vehicle and driver, driver showed no signs of impairment

8:30 a.m. – Brazeau County – 50 Ave/Twp Rd 492 – Complainant reported a business yard entered overnight and suspect tried to steal a 2013 Chevy pickup. Under investigation

8:44 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Greenwood – Complainant requested assistance in checking on his son who had been injured at work the day before. Member attended and was able to raise the son who had been sleeping. All okay

10:51 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Fraud investigation opened after information forwarded from another agency

11:00 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Assist CFS with locating a child for an emergency apprehension

2:10 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Complainant reported a vehicle stolen near Onoway was southbound on Hwy 620, passing Lodgepole. Information was forwarded to Rocky Mountain House as the suspect was heading their way and would be out of Drayton Valley’s jurisdiction before a member could attend

4:26 p.m. – Lodgepole – Complainant reported an unwanted aggressive male at a business. Members attended and patrolled the area as the male had left after police were called. Male not located

5:13 p.m. – Drayton Valley – OCT – Complainant reported a male going into the Drayton Valley Hotel and that he “just knew” the male would drive intoxicated. Member responded but did not locate the suspect driving

8:11 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 St – Complainant reported a known female in apartment hallway with a baseball bat who had pulled the fire alarm and was screaming. Members attended but the suspect, a tenant in the building, wasn’t located. She was located later and denied all accusations

8:56 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Omniplex – Complainant reported a blue hatchback in the parking lot playing loud music, with several trucks parked adjacent. Member attended, blue hatchback gone, several persons in trucks spoken to

9:01 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop with a blue Mustang after noting the plate didn’t match. The driver was issued several tickets and the car was towed. A passenger in the vehicle was found to have 3 outstanding warrants from Edmonton which were executed at the scene

9:32 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 Ave – Anonymous male reported a female just left a location driving a Chevy Malibu while impaired. Patrol was made, vehicle not located

10:59 p.m. – Brazeau County – Countrystyle – Two different complainants reported a neighbour playing loud music. Members attended and the musicophile agreed to turn the music down

July 25

1:01 a.m. – 50 Ave – Complainant reported a hit and run to a van. Under investigation.

3:17 a.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol stopped a truck travelling 140 km/h in a 100 km/h zone. The driver was issued a violation ticket, but also arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant. The male was transported to Edmonton Remand Center as he was unable to pay the outstanding fine of $2875

7:37 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported his bicycle trailer stolen overnight. Trailer is red with orange safety flag

8:10 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Dog Park area – Complainant reported a male walking with stolen wire. Members located a male with a small amount of wire he claimed to have scavenged from garbage bin.

10:19 a.m. – Parkland County – RR75 – Member responded to a neighbour dispute regarding activities near property line. Member mediated as best possible, ongoing issues

1:46 p.m. – Violet Grove – Complainant reported a breach of a no-contact order, suspect resides elsewhere. Under investigation

9:50 p.m. – Brazeau County – Berrymoor area – hangup 911 call received in Stony Plain, ping of phone showed phone now in Drayton Valley’s area. Patrols by both detachments yielded negative results, no indication of an actual emergency

9:59 p.m. – Drayton valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant reporting a wagon in the bushes. Complainant advised that the wagon was stolen last week. Member attended and looked through the area with negative results.

10:01 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 42 St – Complainant reported being bothered by a neighbour smoking marijuana. Advice was given

10:49 p.m. – Brazeau County – Violet Grove area – open line 911 call from a lease site. Ongoing issues locally with phone lines to lease sites. No attendance made

11:09 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave/54 St – Complainant reported a bike abandoned on the corner. Member attended and determined the bike was likely dumped there as it was damaged and not in one piece. Bike disposed of

11:13 p.m. – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 504 – Complainant reported a possible B&E in progress, son had called him saying he heard the doorknob turn. Members attended and cleared the property, no signs of any criminal activity

July 26

12:24 a.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 759 – Complainant reporting suspicious activity. 2 females sitting on the shoulder crouching down. Member attended and made patrols, females not located.

12:44 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported seeing a male heading toward a business yard and that the male was carrying something and covering his face. Members attended and checked the yard, no one found and no signs anyone tried to enter the compound. Patrols of the area failed to locate anyone matching the description

3:45 a.m. – Brazeau County – Violet Grove area – second open line 911 call of the night from a lease site. Believed to be caused by phone line issues, no attendance made

4:02 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St/50 Ave – Member on patrol noticed a vehicle without all lights working in 7/11 parking lot. Checks determined the vehicle was unregistered. Tickets were issued to the driver

5:59 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a suspicious vehicle in apartment parking lot. Member attended, 2019 Ram. pickup recovered that had been stolen in Moose Jaw about 1 week prior. A male was located nearby who was arrested and held for a hearing. Male was remanded.

8:16 a.m. – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge area – Third party complaint of a domestic assault that occurred about one week prior. Member attended, still under investigation

11:07 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Coach Motel – Complainant reporting theft and location of stolen phone. Complainant reporting their phone was stolen and they were able to track the phone to a room at the old Coach Motel. Member attended location, phone returned to owner.

12:16 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Commercial alarm going off. Member attended and spoke with person on site who advised two birds are stuck inside. Member checked inside, all good.

1:48 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting theft of bicycle this morning. Bicycle is a Supercycle, army green. Bicycle stolen by known male. Still under investigation.

2:28 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting family disturbance. Son is being aggressive. Male could be heard swearing in background. Male left in a maroon truck prior to member arrival. Members attended, nothing physical, son was upset as they couldn’t find their keys.

7:22 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Members attended to a report of an assault. While there, Occupant attempted to assault police officer. Occupant arrested.

8:27 p.m. – Brazeau County – RR 82 – Complainant reporting a break and enter to residence. Member attended and cleared residence, no one located, signs of forced entry observed.

9:41 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant reporting ex keeps on messaging them, has been asked to stop., Advised to block person.

11:27 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Omniplex – Complainant reporting a sighting of a stolen vehicle. Male and female in a Red Ford F350. Ignition is punched out. Member attended, vehicle not stolen this time.

11:48 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Complainant reporting their brother is threatening to beat them up. Threats over the phone.

July 27

4:15 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant reporting they had thrown shoes onto a persons roof as a joke then took off. Complainant followed them and when they stopped advised them they would be sorry if they did that again.

4:31 a.m. – Brazeau County – Commercial alarm. Vandalism. Battery had been disconnected and taken. Members attended, door not locked, no signs of forced entry. Approximately 8 batteries stolen.

4:53 a.m. – Brazeau County – Wiley West – Complainant advised that somebody was trying to steal their tires. When confronted, the suspect wanted to fight. Member attended and noted that the suspect had left a significant amount of air out of the tires. Suspect had arrived on a bike. Queries and patrols were negative.

8:29 a.m. – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting cows on the highway. Several in the ditch and on the road. Member attended, owner was already rounding them up upon arrival.

8:56 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Complainant reporting a break and enter to sheds. Some tools stolen.

12:09 p.m. – Violet Grove – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle, black and red sports car speeding up and down the street. Appear to be scoping places out. Member attended, vehicle was gone, however came back shortly after. Member spoke with driver who advised they were testing out the vehicle. Warned about manner of driving.

12:33 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Complainant reporting stolen blue and white 1988 Supra Boat on a black boat trailer. Stolen sometime between Saturday and today.

2:01 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Request to assist Peace Officer with checking a residence. Member attended, house secure.

2:16 p.m. – Berrymoor – Complainant reporting a reckless driver pulling out of the gravel pit near the river. They just pulled out in front of complainant who was driving a semi truck. Member spoke with driver of the vehicle who was upset and advised that the semi had cut him off.

4:31 p.m. – Brazeau County – RR82 – Complainant reporting Telus had contacted them regarding theft of batteries. Complainant advised that a older maroon Ford F250 has 8 of them under a blanket. Member attended, batteries identified as stolen from related file. Male charged.

4:33 p.m. – Drayton Valley – WalMart – Complainant reporting a shoplifter. Suspect stole approximately $800 worth of items. Suspect described as black hair, black coat with a red emblem and jeans. Matter still under investigation.

9:15 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – Complainant calling to report a fight with bear mace. Known male was caught stealing from complainant’s trailer. Complainant chased male back towards Carlton East. Members attended, male was gone upon arrival. A search of the apartment building was negative.

9:35 p.m. – Brazeau County – RR 64 – Member responded to a report of a vehicle in the ditch at Hwy 39 and RR 64. Member attended and located the vehicle which had a sign on the back advising they would be back. Police tape placed around vehicle.

July 28

12:08 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 42 Street – Complainant reporting son is breaching conditions of release. Son is drunk and wants him removed. Members attended, Son arrested and held until sober.

6:41 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant reporting threats with a knife. Theft of cable and copper out of a sea can. Complainant caught suspects when they ca.m.e to work in the morning. Suspect pulled a life on employees and then took off into the bush.

8:32 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant called to report there were two known males at their residence banging on the door and windows. Believes that they are armed with firearms. Member attended location. Suspects had left, chase ensued, 4 individuals eventually arrested with the help of several neighbouring detachments, Emergency Response Tea.m., Police dog Services and Force helicopter.

8:56 a.m. – 43 Avenue – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a male on a red scooter on the walking path only wearing underwear.

9:05 a.m. – Brazeau County – RR 73 – Complainant reporting a male is driving without registration or insurance. Driver is hauling a double wide modular home. Members unable to attend due to a high priority call.

10:07 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant attended the detachment to report their son missing. Son ran away from 7-11. While Complainant was reporting, son located at library.

10:55 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant attended the RCMP detachment to report they have been unable to contact family members who have gone camping.

11:10 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Complainant reporting suspicious males in yard the previous evening. Cardboard package wrapped in white paper has been left behind. Member attended package just garbage no contents.

11:24 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant reporting harassment through text and social media. Complainant advised that this person has contacted them approximately 10 times over the past week. Has to do with them attempting to adopt a snake which they were refused.

12:21 p.m. – Brazeau County – RR 73 – Complainant calling to report suspicious vehicle, possibly related to ongoing situation. Vehicle not related.

1:06 p.m. – Drayton Valley 43A Street – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle. White Ford F150 has been parked for over an hour, not running, female inside.

3:58 p.m. – Drayton valley – Drayton Valley FORD – Complainant reporting one of their rentals, grey Ford F150 had been rented on July 10 for the day and vehicle has not been returned.

4:43 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 51 Street – Complainant reporting a theft. Male stole complainants credit cards and drivers licence and left. Male described as wearing an orange shirt, shorts and slippers with a white baseball cap and carrying a white sac. Suspect had gone into complainant’s office and went through their purse then left on foot.

6:06 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Centre Court trailer court – Complainant reporting they have a known location of 2 males involved in a theft.

6:30 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Complainant reporting an attempted break and enter to the post office. Upon arrival at work, they observed the metal security door had a sharp edge and when they attempted to lock it after work it appears someone attempted to force open the door. Nothing stolen, entry not gained.

6:58 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting theft of 1979 orange GMC pickup truck was stolen while at the golf course.

7:53 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Bank of Montreal – Holdup alarm going off at bank. Members attended, severe thunderstorm in area at time causing power to flicker. Everyone safe, no one there.

July 29

2:07 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Bank of Montreal – All alarms at bank are going off. Members attended, all secure, thunderstorm in area causing issues.

1:55 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Complainant reporting a possible break and enter to residence. Members attended and cleared the residence. No one located, owner notified.

3:31 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant requesting a wellbeing check on elderly female. Member attended and located female. Complainant updated.

4:07 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Request from Lethbridge Police Service to arrest a male on outstanding warrants. Members attended and arrested male without incident. Male released by Justice.

4:48 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Complainant called to report and assault. Complainant intoxicated. Suspect left residence prior to member arrival. Members spoke with complainant who was uncooperative and did not wish charges. Members located suspect who was arrested on outstanding warrants and held until sober.

6:14 p.m. – Violet Grove – Complainant reporting unwanted persons on their property. Persons are banging on the door. Persons are looking for puppies on property. Members attended, matter is civil. Both parties spoken to.

6:32 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting sister missing. Member spoke with complainant who advised that sister had come home. Not missing.

6:35 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a person driving a Blue Durango is on their cell phone and littering. Member located vehicle and spoke with the registered owner who was warned.

7:58 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting a concern and requesting a welfare check on female. Female located by members and taken to hospital.

10:07 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Greenwood Trailer court – Complainant reporting a child custody dispute. Fa.m.ily would like members to check on the welfare of child. Member attended location no one home.

10:58 p.m. – Brazeau County – Country Style Trailer court – Complainant reporting suspicious noises. Complainant stated their dog has been on alert for the past 45 minutes. Members attended and performed patrols in area. Nothing noted.

July 30

12:19 a.m. – Tomahawk – Members responded to a report of an assault. Female assaulted by male. Members arrested male who was held for a hearing due to the nature of the event.

1:10 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Complainant reporting a disturbance. People yelling and swearing. Members attended location, no noise heard. Member knocked on the door, no answer.
