11 y/o Red Deer girl wins junior golf tour debut

Debuts don’t get much better than this.

In her first time competing on the McLennan Ross Alberta Junior Tour, Red Deer golfer Eileen Park finished atop the leaderboard in the junior girls division.

Park fired a fine 77 at the RedTail Landing Golf Club in Nisku to finish three shots ahead of two other players, including two-time defending Tour Champion Jayla Kucy of Camrose.

What makes the accomplishment even more remarkable is the fact she’s just 11-years-old.

Park earned a berth in the Tour Championship on August 28 at Wolf Creek Golf Resort.
