Central Zone with six active COVID-19 cases

Alberta is reporting 46 new cases of COVID-19 over the last 24 hours to bring the province’s total to 8,482.

The number of active cases across the province is 608, which are 12 fewer than Tuesday, and the number of recoveries stands at 7,716, an increase of 57.

There were 6,268 tests were completed in the past 24 hours, pushing Alberta of 500,000 tests completed during the pandemic.

There are 55 Albertans currently in hospital as a result of the virus. Seven of those people are in intensive care.
