Alberta reports 79 new cases of COVID-19

Alberta saw another noticeable increase in COVID-19 cases on Monday.

A total of 79 new cases were reported out of 6,999 test results, bringing the province’s total to 8,067.

It’s Alberta’s largest single-day increase since 69 new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported back on May 16.

There are now 559 active cases in the province, up 39 from Sunday’s report, while 7,354 have recovered.
