Outgrowing its space

Drayton Valley mat and shelter program relocating to bigger space

Drayton Valley’s mat/shelter program is being relocated, after outgrowing its current location.

The Community Mat and Shelter program was opened at the Alliance Church on April 20 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the time, the venue was inspected and approved by Alberta Health Services for a total of 18 participants, however since then, the number of people accessing the program has grown and it’s outgrowing the space.

Several locations have been assessed by Town Administration and Alberta Health Services that would meet the needs of the program and the physical distancing requirements.
