Downtown Red Deer market returns Wednesday

The Downtown Red Deer market returns on Wednesday (June 3).

It’ll be open on Little Gaetz Avenue from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. weekly through the summer.

The market offers people the chance to purchase farm fresh food from nearby farms, including meat, fresh vegetables and fruit, baked goods and handmade items.

“During Market, precautions will be taken to ensure physical distancing and hand sanitization practices are adhered to,” the Red Deer Downtown Business Association says on its website.

“The health and well-being of our staff, vendors, and the public is our number one importance and we encourage you to stay informed by regularly reviewing credible information on the Canadian government’s COVID-19 webpage.”
