Online forum tonight for Innisfail by-election

An online forum is taking place tonight for the candidates running in the Town of Innisfail by-election.

Four candidates are seeking to fill the town council vacancy left by the resignation of Councillor Doug Bos. They are Donald Harrison, Daryl Hillman, Jim Kristinson and Patrick Teskey.

Tonight’s forum gets underway at 7 p.m. Residents can watch through the Town of Innisfail Facebook page. You can also join the Zoom meeting for the forum by clicking this link and entering password: 518627.

The by-election will take place on Monday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Advance voting days are May 29 (4-8 p.m.) and 30 (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.).

Voters can cast their ballot at the lone polling station at the Library Learning Centre Community Room (5300 55 Street). Mail-in ballots are also available by calling the Returning Officer at 403-227-3376.
