Drive-In movie for charity Friday at Westerner Park

There’s nothing quite like a drive-in movie, and you can see one in Red Deer this week in support of a great cause.

“Cars,” the 2006 animated classic from PIXAR, is being shown on three screens in the parking lot at Westerner Park this Friday, May 15, starting at 9:15 p.m. (Gates open at 8 p.m.)

Proceeds from tickets sales, which cost $25 – $40 per vehicle, will benefit Aspire Special Needs Resource Centre. Donations of cash or non-perishable food items will also be taken at the event for the Red Deer Food Bank.

The movie event is a presentation of 106.7 The Drive and BIG 105, alongside On the Mark Productions, Bulldog Driver Training, Technologix and Westerner Park.

Tickets are on sale now at TicketsAlberta.

Attendees must remain in their vehicles, and outside food is allowed. The movie will be broadcast over FM on your vehicle’s radio.

Rules, including no sharing your car with friends, and no one with symptoms of COVID-19 being permitted, can be found here. (NOTE: There will be no washrooms available on-site).
