April 29

11:35 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Member on patrol observed a vehicle entering a gas station and believed the driver had a warrant. The male was arrested on the Edson warrant and released to appear in court at a later date. The male was also issued a ticket for driving without a license.

April 30

1:03 am – Drayton Valley – 43 St – Member investigated a hang-up 911 call. No emergency.

7:12 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported that overnight a window was broken on his work truck and his wallet was stolen.

7:40 am – Drayton Valley – 7/11 – Complainant reported a male was in the store, suspected of previously trying to use a stolen debit card. Member attended and patrolled the area, male suspect not located.

9:37 am – Drayton Valley – 46 St – Complainant reported the tailgate stolen off of his truck overnight. Under investigation.

8:30 am – Drayton Valley – 49B St – Complainant requested a member attend the following day while his ex attended to pick up belongings. Complainant later advised a third party had been found to assist.

9:09 am – Brazeau County – RR 82 – Complainant attended to report a collision with a deer that occurred on April 21.

9:42 am – Brazeau County – RR81 – Complainant reported an ATV collision that occurred the day prior. No injuries.

10:44 am – Drayton Valley – 52 St – Members attended an apartment for a reported domestic situation. Couple separating, members confirmed no offence had occurred, only arguing.

12:17 pm – Brazeau County – RR80 – Complainant reported a neighbour shooting, possibly unsafely. Under investigation.

3:02 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Complainant reported a neighbour shooting arrows into a deer target in his yard, safety concerns due to a park nearby. Member spoke to the neighbour who will target practice elsewhere in future.

3:28 pm – Drayton Valley – 58 Ave – Complainant reported his license plate stolen off of his truck and replaced with another plate. The plate left on complainant’s truck was reported stolen in Edmonton.

4:00 pm (approximately) – Brazeau County – Birchwood area – Drayton Valley members attended to assist Breton members and members of the Central Alberta Crime Reduction Unit in arresting a wanted male. With assistance from Police Dog Service and RCMP Air Services, the 30-year-old male was arrested about 5 hours later.

4:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 St – Complainant reported people had been trespassing in a shed on a rental property. Member unable to attend at the time as members were assisting Breton in tracking a wanted male. Complainant contacted later and advice given.

8:23 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 St – Complainant requested assistance in retrieving belongings due to a domestic break up. Member attended, no issues.

9:28 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Red Deer RCMP requested assistance to conduct a wellbeing check on a female in Drayton Valley. Member located the female who was fine.

May 1

8:53 am – Drayton Valley – 58 Avenue – Complainant reporting licence plate stolen from vehicle and replaced with plate which was associated to a stolen vehicle out of Edmonton.

9:42 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting employees gave money to social fund, now company is closing and person in charge is refusing to give money back.

9:33 am – Drayton Valley – 34 Avenue – Complainant reporting a person is inside a shed. Property is vacant. Members attended and located 2 persons who were subsequently arrested and issued trespassing tickets.

11:08 am – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Complainant reporting person just left and is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19. Members located person who apologized for leaving quarantine. Person placed back into isolation.

11:10 am – Brazeau County – RR 91 – Complainant reporting cows on the road.

11:10 am – Drayton valley – Pleasant View Mobile Home Park – Complainant requesting police assistance with obtaining their belongings.

11:18 am – Drayton Valley – 51 Street – Complainant reporting theft of purse from vehicle. Purse had been left in unlocked vehicle. Purse located, iPhone missing.

1:17 pm – Drayton Valley – Country Style Trailer Court – Complainant reporting being harassed. Previously involved in an argument. Members spoke with all parties involved and advised them to refrain from any contact.

2:38 pm – Brazeau County – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting a suspicious male observed running into the office then left. Male with dark hair, glasses, green shirt, and wearing a black winter jacket with grey sweatpants. Member attended location and located male.

3:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 48 Street – Complainant reporting a fight in the alley. 3 males. Members attended and spoke with persons at scene. Persons advised no fight, however one male was taken to hospital as was acting very strangely.

3:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 48 Avenue – Complaint received of an unwanted male. Related to previous call. Male is flailing around on the ground, won’t leave. Male’s behaviour indicated he was high on some kind of drug.

3:11 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting they lost their wallet on April 18. Someone has been using their visa card and debit card. Matter is still under investigation.

4:19 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting they picked up a male who was limping and clutching their stomach near the Catholic Church. Male stated that they were robbed and beat up. Member attended location, male last observed in the back alley of the Econorest. Extensive patrols conducted. Male not located.

4:32 PM – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant reporting they returned home to find their cat dead. Believes known male broke its neck. Matter is still under investigation.

5:12 pm – Drayton Valley – Member on patrol observed an older model Dodge Ram. Vehicle previously stolen out of Edmonton. Licence plate stolen from Drayton Valley.

7:00 pm – Brazeau County – RR 75 – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle. Toyota Corolla has been parked outside their residence for the past hour. 2 Occupants. Vehicle took off when complainant attempted to obtain licence plate.

8:19 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant reporting they believe they located person who stole their phone. Members attended location and spoke with suspects who agreed to let members search their belongings. Phone not located.

9:10 pm – Brazeau County – RR 65 – Complainant reporting possible gunshots. Members attended and located persons camping in Gravel Pits. Persons admitted to shooting earlier.

9:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 Avenue – Complainant reporting a group of teenagers are on the roof of the school. Member attended, no signs of vandalism, complainant chased the group off prior to member’s arrival. Patrols in area were negative.

10:10 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – 911 open line. Ongoing issue.

May 2

12:01 am – Drayton Valley – 56 Avenue – Complainant reporting a dispute. Members attended, verbal argument. Parties separated for the night.

2:02 am – Cynthia – Complainant reporting a single-vehicle rollover. Driver was avoiding a deer and swerved. Members attended along with fire and EMS. Driver transported to hospital with minor injuries.

2:38 am – Rocky Rapids – Complainant reporting a party. Members patrolled the area, no party located.

5:30 am – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Request to assist Fire Department with a garage fire. Members attended, fire under control upon arrival.

8:07 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a male is trepassing and taking parts off the water heaters. Members attended and spoke with the complainant who advised the stuff in the yard is old and of no use. Did not wish to pursue charges.

9:18 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting an abandoned side by side on lease site. Owner of side by side attended, had run out of gas the previous night.

9:21 am – Brazeau County – RR 81– Complainant requesting assistance with obtaining belongings. Members attended and kept the peace.

10:03 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting theft of Samsung A5 Cell phone. Possible suspect.

11:58 am – Drayton Valley – 54A Avenue – Complainant reporting attempted theft of their orange 2018 Jeep Compass. No damage to vehicle. Owner yelled at suspect and they took off. Suspect had been taken to hospital earlier.

12:59 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant reporting a dog locked inside a hot vehicle for the past 2 hours. Windows are shut. Member attended location, no dog inside vehicle.

1:24 pm – Violet Grove – Complainant reporting unwanted persons at residence. Members attended and spoke with complainant. Person had already departed residence.

2:26 pm – Drayton Valley – Centre Court Trailer Court – Complainant reporting a neighbour dispute. Female is threatening complainant if they don’t get them their money. Complainant doesn’t owe any money.

4:28 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant reporting an individual is operating a business out of their home while they are not allowed to. Complaint forwarded to Alberta Health Services.

6:58 pm – Brazeau County – Fairway Meadows – Complainant reporting their brother is breaching a no-contact order. Members attended, male not at residence.

7:14 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Member on patrol conducted traffic stop on green BMW. Plate did not match vehicle. Driver criminally suspended from driving. Driver arrested.

7:49 pm – Drayton Valley – 41B Avenue – Complainant advising of a dirt bike driving up and down the neighbourhood, tearing up lawns. Members attended and located driver and owner of bike at edge of town. No registration or insurance.

7:53 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 Avenue – Complainant reporting a noise complaint. Large party. Very loud. Member contacted complainant who advised the party had died down. Complainant concerned due to COVID-19 and that the party-goers are not social distancing.

7:59 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Complainant wishing assistance from members in obtaining their belongings.

8:25 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Request to assist EMS with a male. Members attended and spoke with complainant who was concerned about male as they had been saying some strange things. Members located male who was subsequently taken to the hospital.

9:40 pm – Rocky Rapids – Complainant called to report 2 quads were ripping around town. No descriptions provided. Complainant could only hear them.

9:56 pm – Brazeau County – Request to conduct a wellbeing check. Members attended residence, all parties were fine.

9:56 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting an assault. Stated that they had been pushed down and hit.

May 3

1:41 am – Drayton Valley – Ford Dealership – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle is cruising around the area. Vehicle is a white Ford F-350. Member attended and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. All queries were negative. Occupants advised they were driving around due to boredom.

2:03 am – Drayton Valley – 58 Avenue – Members on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver charged with several equipment regulation infractions.

2:22 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complainant reporting a break and enter to residence behind them that recently had a fire. Members attended, person was getting their belongings, no break and enter.

2:18 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complainant reporting threats from 2 unknown males. Related to above incident.

2:57 am – Drayton Valley – Heidi Ann apartments – Complainant reporting people breaking into their apartment. Members attended and located one individual who was sitting with some bags. They advised that they had been staying with complainant, but were asked to leave.

8:23 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle. Older model Dodge Durango, grey in colour, 2 occupants. Not suspicious.

10:08 am – Violet Grove – Complainant called 911 and advised they needed police to remove male. Members attended, verbal argument.

11:15 am – Brazeau County – Complainant calling to request assistance with family member who had been acting strangely. Members attended, located family member who was taken to hospital.

11:49 am – Drayton Valley – 54 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop, warning for failure to provide insurance card issued.

2:10 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant reporting a possible break and enter. Male and female. Members attended and cleared several rooms, evidence of squatting.

4:53 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 Street – Complainant reporting suspicious vehicles in neighbourhood, appeared to be scoping out businesses. Members conducted patrols. No descriptions provided.

5:42 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant reporting people outside their apartment again. Members attended, no one there.

6:08 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Another report from same complainant that someone is banging on their door. Occupant has been on a bad trip and is hallucinating. Members attended again, no one there.

6:49 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Same complainant stating people are trying to break into apartment. Members attended again and advised complainant that any further calls would be dealt with by charges.

7:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Same complainant, 4th time this evening, calling to report break and enter to residence. Complainant is hallucinating. Taking drugs.

8:04 pm – Brazeau County – RR 60 – Complainant reporting suspicious vehicles in area. Occupants had lost their dogs and were looking for them.

May 4

12:01 am – Brazeau county – RR 81 – Complainant stating people are attempting to gain entry to their residence. Members attended, no one there, no footprints. Members located a vehicle a short distance away.

11:38 am – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Complainant reporting their licence plate had been stolen off their truck and replaced with another plate.

12:42 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a dangerous driver. Complainant states that son was almost hit by a vehicle on April 21 and has been in hospital since.

3:54 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant wanting male removed. Members attended, male arrested on outstanding warrant.

5:20 pm – Rocky Rapids – Complainant reporting they can hear noisy off-road vehicles, quads and dirt bikes. Member made patrols, vehicles not located.

6:02 pm – Parkland County – Hwy 759 – Complainant reporting an erratic driver in a gravel truck. Vehicle is swerving all over the road.

6:22 pm – Brazeau County – RR 70 – Complainant reporting gunshots heard in area. Member attended area, patrols made, subjects not located.

8:56 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Complaint received of a female texting while driving in a tan Audi SUV. Almost hit complainant. Video of incident to be reviewed.

9:44 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant reporting a break and enter to their apartment. Ongoing issue. Members attended, no one located.

10:51 pm – Lodgepole – Complainant requesting removal of female. Members attended, both parties spoken to and separated.

May 5

1:11 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – complainant again reporting a break and enter to their apartment. Several reports of same over the past few days, all unfounded. Complainant under the influence of drugs. Members attended once again, no one there, suspect identified by complainant not located anywhere.

3:09 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting an erratic driver in a white Dodge with a light bar. Driver drifted out of the Esso to the Petro Can. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located.

3:25 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant calling again to report someone is attempting to break adown their door. Ongoing issue with false reports. Members attended, no one present, complainant is paranoid likely due to drug use.

5:29 am – Drayton Valley – 56 Avenue – Complainant calling to report someone breaking into their residence. Could hear footsteps. Members attended and cleared the residence. It appears that the complainant scared the person off.

7:51 am – Drayton Valley – Hospital – Requesting members assistance with an aggressive patient. Members attended.

8:42 am – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Complainant reporting their garage had been broken into. Garage door opener had been left in unlocked vehicle. Used to gain entry. Tools stolen.

9:54 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant reporting a commercial break and enter overnight. Locks on the gate and the shed were broken off. Nothing taken. Mountain bike tracks in the yard.

10:18 am – Drayton Valley – 49B Street – Good Samaritan had been out walking when they found an Income Tax Refund Cheque which was brought to the detachment. Cheque returned to owner.

11:42 am – Brazeau County – RR 81 – Complainant reporting their ex was planning on visiting their children who did not wish to see them. Member spoke with both children who advised they did not wish to see or speak to parent. Member advised ex who was upset but understood.

2:42 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant reporting an erratic driver of a black 1 tonne truck with tinted windows and hauling a tandem trailer is all over the road.

2:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 41 A Avenue – Complainant reporting vehicle broken into overnight. Sunglasses, cash, and garage door opener taken.

5:13 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant reporting unwanted persons squatting in one of the apartments. Ongoing issue.

7:53 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting an abandoned blue Dodge Dakota near Blue Rapids.

8:33 pm – Drayton Valley – 42 Street – Complainant reporting a missing 3-year-old female. Complainant cannot locate child in residence. Members attended location and searched residence and surrounding area. Child located sleeping on a lawn chair in the backyard under a blanket. Child was fine.

8:28 PM – Tomahawk – Complainant reporting suspicious activity the previous morning at 2:30 am. Known male was yelling and screaming outside. Known mental health issues. Male went to the hospital.

8:50 pm – Drayton Valley – Hospital – Complainant requesting assistance from police to locate missing patient. Members located male and returned male to hospital where he was placed under direct supervision.

9:47 pm – Drayton Valley – Omniplex – Complainant calling to report youth are in parking lot revving their tires and doing doughnuts. Members attended and located approximately 10 vehicles all of whom denied doing any stunting. Member issued warning to all parties and continued to patrol in area to prevent further stunting.

10:23 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol located known male who was wanted for breaching conditions. Foot chase ensued. Male was subsequently located and arrested. Upon search of individual a small amount of meth was located and seized.

10:18 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a scam for money over Facebook. Scammer states that if the person does not pay them $300 through Moneygram, they will post naked pictures. Member spoke with complainant and advised them not to send any money and to block person.

10:36 pm – Drayton Valley area – Complainant reporting shots heard. Members were in area at time of call and did not hear anything.

10:53 PM – Brazeau County – RR 63 – Complainant reporting horses located on road, have been moved to safe location.

11:02 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Female charged with operating vehicle without being registered or insured.

11:05 pm – Brazeau County – Request to assist EMS with male in cardiac arrest. Male was being transported to hospital for ongoing health issues at time. Members attended location.

May 6

1:34 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Ongoing issue with male reporting false complaints about people breaking into their apartment and hearing voices. Members attended, no one located.

3:20 am – Drayton Valley – Ford Dealership – Complainant reporting a suspicious male on a bike checking out the dealership. Male wearing a full mask and all-black riding a white bike. Members attended location and made numerous patrols. Male not located.

5:52 am – Rocky Rapids – Complainant reporting suspicious males in ATV. Red ARGO with 2 males both wearing hoodies.

7:59 am – Drayton Valley – 41 Street – Complainant reporting their Black 2019 Chevrolet Traverse was stolen at approximately 0530hrs. Wallet is in vehicle and keys missing. Vehicle located near Buck Creek area. Onstar disabled vehicle until members could attend to recover.

8:00 am – Violet Grove – Members requested to assist EMS with locating male who is in need of medical attention. Members attended, male located, and subsequently taken to hospital.

8:21 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complainant reporting an eviction notice was given to tenant, property rep returned to property after changing locks and noted tenant had returned. Members attended, advised property rep to go through proper channels to evict.

9:50 am – Lodgepole – Complainant reporting a suspicious abandoned vehicle on Tide Water Road. Blue Nissan Versa is in the ditch. Member contacted the Registered Owner who advised they were camping and left vehicle at entrance as roads were not conducive to drive on.

10:33 am – Brazeau County – 56 Avenue – Complainant reporting a hole had been cut into the fence at business. Nothing taken, a bike and duffel bag left behind.

11:03 am – Brazeau County – RR 81 – Alarm company reports a single hit panic alarm at residence. Member attended, alarm activated by accident. False alarm.

11:34 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting shed broken into. Lock broken, nothing taken, left behind a couple of socket sets.

12:51 pm – Drayton Valley – 40 Street – Complainant reporting someone had entered their garage and taken a child’s bike.

1:02 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Alarm company reports a panic alarm at residence. Members attended, alarm was false.

2:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Ongoing issue with false complaints. Complainant calling to report there are people in the hallway wanting to get him. Complainant has drug-induced paranoia. Members attended, no one there.

4:01 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting they are concerned about mental state of individual. Members attended and spoke with individual, parties separated.

4:40 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Complainant requesting police assistance. Complainant stated that they had attended a place where they were supposed to do some work, upon arrival one of the residents came out and began uttering threats to them because the work had not been completed. Members attended and mediated situation. Complainants belongings removed from residence.

6:46 pm – Drayton Valley – Wal Mart – Complainant reporting that they were shopping and went to put their cell phone on a counter, another customer put their bag over top and took off with their cell phone. Suspect female took off in a light-coloured Pontiac Montana. Traffic stop with vehicle conducted. Search of vehicle produced phone that had been stolen. Female arrested for theft under $5000.

9:44 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Complainant calling to report a stolen Skidoo. Members attended, Skidoo seized and towed. Skidoo stolen out of Rocky Mountain House.

11:25 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting theft of medication. Complainant called back shortly after to advise the medication has been returned.

11:44 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Request to assist EMS with intoxicated female. Members attended, spoke with female who calmed down.

May 7

2:33 am – Rocky Rapids – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver charged with not making application for licence after change of name or address.

4:21 am – Drayton Valley – Members called to a disturbance at the Econorest. Verbal argument. Parties were separated.

7:29 am – Drayton Valley – Northview Crescent – Several complaints received regarding break and enters to garage and vehicles overnight.
