May 1, 2020 | 9:08 AM

With the COVID-19 pandemic postponing or cancelling hundreds of their annual fundraising events, STARS Air Ambulance is taking their efforts online with a virtual concert and fundraiser.

A star-studded country music concert will take place Friday, May 8 starting at 7 p.m. MT.

You can hear it live on Big West Country. It will also be streaming live at streamingforstars.ca and on STARS’ Facebook page.

“As you know, these are uncertain times for many of us. One thing is certain though and that is STARS is still flying and caring for critically ill and injured patients across the prairies, an average of eight times a day,” STARS says in a release.

Scheduled performers include, Brett Kissel, George Canyon, Aaron Pritchett, Gord Bamford, Hunter Brothers, The Washboard Union, Jess Moskaluke, Aaron Goodvin, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Chris Buck Band, Bobby Wills, Dan Davidson, Tenille Arts, Rob Watts, Trevor Panczak and more.

Appearances are also scheduled by Ron MacLean, Mark McMorris, Dan Clark, Josh Morrissey, Kim Coates and STARS’ team members.
