Alberta up 106 to 1,181 cases of COVID-19

As of Saturday, Alberta now has 1,181 confirmed cases of COVID-19, up 106 from yesterday.

In the last 24 hours, there have been two new deaths reported. To date, there have been 20 in the province.

Latest data shows up to 133 cases are suspected of being community transferred. In all, 42 people are in hospital, while 14 have been admitted to intensive care.

Alberta Health is now tracking nine outbreaks at continuing care facilities.

In Central Zone, the province says there are now 66 cases, up from 62 on Friday.

Three new cases have been reported in Red Deer County, which now has 13. The province has said it won’t specify where in Red Deer County due to patient confidentiality.

There are now a total of 240 recoveries, up from 196.
