Rocky Mountain House RCMP Report: March 27-31

The following is a report released to media from the Rocky Mountain House (RMH) RCMP giving a brief description of various crimes and call-ins, both solved and unsolved, throughout the community between the dates of March 27-31.

Not all crimes reported are listed in this report.

2020-03-27 @ 8:42 P.M. – Report of theft from a residence in Clearwater County.

2020-03-27 @ 3:36 A.M. – Blue 2005 Pontiac G6 reported stolen from a residence on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve. Vehicle located by owner down the road.

2020-03-27 @ 3:11 P.M. – RCMP received a complaint that there was a male who had arrived at the Rocky hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. He received treatment for his wound and was subsequently arrested for a number of outstanding warrants for his arrest. After a JIR hearing he was released on strict conditions. Police continue to investigate.

2020-03-27 @ 3:22 P.M. – Report of a church in RMH broken into overnight. The thieves entered the church through a window and stole an amp, VCR, headphone sets, and a cheque.

2020-03-27 @ 9:44 P.M. – Complaint of a loud party at a residence in RMH. Police attended and spoke to a number of individuals who cooperated in keeping the noise down.

2020-03-28 @ 1:56 A.M. – Police located an abandoned gold Yukon on a lease site on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve. Vehicle had been stolen from Edmonton and had fled from police on a number of occasions. The vehicle was towed and the RO was contacted.

2020-03-28 @ 1:12 P.M. – B&E reported to an unoccupied residence in RMH. A shed and garage were broken into. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.

2020-03-28 @ 2:27 P.M. – Complaint of a disturbance at a residence at O’Chiese First Nation. Police attended and resolved the matter.

2020-03-30 @ 8:25 A.M. – Complaint of an assault and a vehicle stolen at a residence on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve.

2020-03-30 @ 9:47 A.M. – 2009 black Dodge Nitro stolen from RMH residence overnight

2020-03-30 @10:34 P.M. – Theft of a 2011 silver Cadillac CTS stolen from a residence on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve. Owner reported that he found it the next morning but it had sustained some damage.

2020-03-30 @ 10:45 P.M. – Police conducted a curfew check at a rural residence for a male who was previously released with conditions after being charged with drug related offences the previous month. He was arrested in a vehicle a short time later and then released on an Appearance Notice to appear in June at Rocky Mountain House Provincial Court.

2020-03-31 @ 3:12 A.M. – Police attended a residence on the O’Chiese First Naiton Reserve after a report of an assault.

2020-03-31 @ 12:20 P.M. – B&E reported to a church in RMH. Food, cutlery, and a vacuum cleaner were stolen. Under investigation.
