2 fewer cases in Red Deer

Province reports 40 more confirmed cases of COVID-19, one new death

In the last 24 hours, Alberta Health has identified 40 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province.

This brings Alberta’s total to 661 cases, up to 60 of which may be from community transmission.

The increase on Sunday is less than a provincial high jump of 79 new cases on Saturday.

As for Central Zone, a government spokesperson says data correction is to be credited for a decrease in the region. The zone’s total has gone from 48 to 46, with the two fewer coming from the city of Red Deer’s southeast region.

Of the province’s total cases, a total of 26 have been identified at the McKenzie Towne Long Term Care facility in Calgary, which is 11 more cases than yesterday.

There are no reported changes for Rosedale on the Park (one case) and Shepherd’s Care Kensington Village (four cases).

There are now 73 confirmed recoveries, 10 more than yesterday, and 40 more than Friday.
