EDMONTON- The UCP government says it will reduce operating hours at 14 museums and heritage sites as part of its budget cuts.
The changes will affect popular attractions such as Drumheller’s Royal Tyrrell Museum, Edmonton’s Royal Alberta Museum, and World Heritage Site Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump.
Other sites affected include the Reynolds-Alberta Museum in Wetaskiwin, the Frank Slide Interpretive Centre west of Lethbridge and the Remington Carriage Museum in Cardston.
The government is also cutting contract jobs at some of these facilities.
