Wranglers, Colts split to open HJHL north final
The Sylvan Lake Wranglers are tied 1-1 with the Mountainveiw Colts in the best of seven HJHL North Division Final.
The Wranglers are coming off of a seven-game series win over the Red Deer Vipers where each team won three straight games before Sylvan Lake won game seven. The Colts beat first-seeded Airdrie in six games in round two.
The Wranglers won game one 6-2, scoring three unanswered to seal the game with Taite Opdendries scoring the final two. Cameron Loomis-Labrosse made 25 saves in the win.
Game two was a different story with Mountainview coming to play, especially their goaltender.
