February 27

9:47 am – Drayton valley – 51 Avenue – Complainant calling to report a theft from store by known females. They came into the store and took a few items into the change rooms and then left. Afterward, the store noted a $300 jacket and $250 purse were stolen.

10:13 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant believes there is a breach of a court order. Ongoing issue, member attended. Complainant wants person charged as they continue driving past their house yelling. Member spoke with all parties involved.

11:16 am – Brazeau county – RR 91 – Complainant calling to report horses on the road. Members attended, horses were not there.

3:12 pm – Drayton Valley – 42 Street – 911 hang up, caller was swearing on the phone and saying they needed the police. Member attended location provided, however, was unable to locate person who called.

4:10 pm – Tomahawk – Complainant advised that they were traveling on HWY 624 near 759 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.

5:13 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Complainant reporting a silver sedan is sitting on the corner parked on the curb blocking traffic. Member attended, vehicle had left prior to arrival.

6:00 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 39 – Complainant reporting a dangerous driver in a dark truck pulled out in front of caller causing them to lock up their tractor-trailer unit. Member patrolled area, vehicle not located.

7:48 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a single-vehicle incident. 2013 Dodge Ram 2500 blew a front tire, vehicle not driveable and is pulling a fifth-wheel trailer. Member attended, vehicles towed.

11:22 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant reporting excessive noise, people going up and down stairwells and knocking on doors. Member attended, male is moving in.

February 28

4:24 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting an erratic driver in a silver pickup truck with a light bar on the bumper is slamming on their brakes and driving at varying speeds, swerving into oncoming traffic. Member located vehicle. No impairment, driver admitted to being on the phone.

5:02 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting an unwanted intoxicated male who was hiding in the bathroom of the building. Currently standing in front of the hotel stating someone wanted to find him. No one else around.

5:53 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Member on patrol observed known male on conditions on a bike. Male was observed crashing bike. Member went to check on male and realized male was breaching conditions. Male arrested.

10:03 am – Drayton Valley – 44 Avenue – Complainant reporting a break and enter to residence. Stated that no one should be there, however, there is a blue SUV parked on the back parking pad. Members attended. House secure, however, it appeared that the back door to the garage was damaged. No one was inside,

10:47 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complainant reporting an attempted theft of vehicle overnight. Passenger door handle and ignition punched on black 2003 Ford F-350.

10:48 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting they left their purse at a restaurant and when they returned they noted that the contents were missing.

11:50 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting an unwanted intoxicated female at the Scotiabank. Members attended and located known female who was arrested for intoxicated in public and taken to the detachment where she was released once sober.

12:02 pm – Drayton Valley – 20 Avenue – Holdup alarm at business. Members attended, false alarm, technician was working on system and set it off.

12:16 pm – Drayton Valley – Beckett Road – Complainant calling to report they purchased a travel trailer on line, the VIN had been provided by the seller. Complainant stated that they sent 2 e-transfers totaling $1300, however, when they went to pick it up, there was no trailer at the residence and no one home. Reporting a fraud.

12:49 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 Avenue – Complainant reporting a break and enter to a residence. Complainant states two males were using a chair and entering through a front window. Members attended and spoke with two males in the home. One of the males lives in the residence with grandmother. Member sent both back to school. No Break and Enter.

4:51 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Complainant reporting an attempted theft of vehicle overnight. Complainant stated that the door handle was broken and the ignition and dash destroyed on their 2006 GMC 2500.

6:35 PM – Drayton Valley – Marks Work Warehouse – Complainant reporting a female with short hair just stole some clothing from the store. Female got into a jeep.

8:19 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant reporting their daughter missing. Did not get on the school bus today. Members located daughter.

9:49 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Complainant reporting a possible intoxicated driver. Member located male walking to vehicle. Male arrested for being intoxicated in public and was brought back to detachment to be released when sober.

February 29

7:10 am – Drayton Valley – Econorest – Complainant reporting a male and female attempting to break into a vehicle. Members attended, both gone, located later on. Male arrested on other matters. Not attempting to break into vehicle, the vehicle was owned by the female.

7:50 am – Drayton Valley – 51 Street – Complainant reporting theft of their 1999 black Ford F-250. Vehicle was stolen from backyard as the suspects broke the gate and fence. Vehicle had been located in Edson burnt prior to complainant reporting.

8:15 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – Complainant calling to report they were evicted prior to date and time of notice. Landlord took keys and stole a TV as payment. Landlord-Tenant issue

11:07 am – Drayton Valley – Value Drug Mart – Complainant reporting a male has been in the bathroom for the past 30 minutes. Member attended, male had left prior to arrival.

11:47 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting an abandoned trailer. Member attended and located a utility trailer full of garbage.

11:52 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant requesting a wellbeing check on a male near the Esso. Members located male and provided a courtesy ride home.

1:40 pm – Drayton Valley – Mohawk – Complainant reporting a male threw a rock and their vehicle. I walking towards the omniplex. Male had long hair, white hoody and a backpack. Members patrolled the area, male not located

2:40 pm – Drayton valley – 53 Street – Complainant reporting unwanted persons. Related to Landlord Tenant issue from before. Members attended to mediate issues.

2:48 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting erratic driver. Member patrolled area, vehicle not located

3:12 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting an unwanted male with no shoes or socks in the Subway. Members attended and located male. Male became agitated by police presence. Members requested male leave, courtesy ride provided

3:58 pm – Drayton Valley – Pleasantview Trailer court – Complainant reporting their ex is refusing entry to property. Members attended, male wanted some items from the residence. Male also wanted ex removed from residence. Civil matter concerns marital property.

5:59 pm – Drayton Valley – Econorest – Complainant requesting a wellbeing check on daughter. Member attended, daughter is fine.

9:57 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Complainant requesting a wellbeing check on friend. Member conducted inquiries, friend was fine.

10:12 pm – Drayton Valley – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a graduated driver. Driver was intoxicated and blew a caution when the roadside test administered. Licence suspended for 30 days and vehicle seized for 7 days.

11:19 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant requesting a wellbeing check on neighbour. Can hear howling and hasn’t seen them recently. Members attended, building manager called to let members in. Bathtub running.

March 1

2:46 am – Drayton Valley – 51 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver charged for operating a motor vehicle contrary to conditions.

3:07 am – Drayton Valley – Econorest – Complainant reporting female is distraught. Members attended and located known female who flooded the furnace room. Female taken back to the detachment to be released when sober.

9:39 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Complainant reporting stolen batteries from heavy equipment at neighbours.

11:44 am – Drayton Valley – Hwy 22 – Members requested to conduct traffic control while tow company pulls out vehicle. Drivers are not slowing down. Member attended.

12:24 pm – Brazeau County – RR 91 – Complainant reporting three horses on the road. Members attended and located horses. Member spoke with owners as this has been an ongoing issue.

1:12 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 Avenue – Complainant reporting a possible dog theft attempt. Male and female in a black extended cab Dodge passed slowly by their home. Male was observed shaking a small bag possibly with dog treats. Member patrolled the area, vehicle not located.

3:50 pm – Drayton Valley – Pleasantview Trailer court – Disturbance related to call previously regarding marital property. Members attended and spoke with all parties.

7:21 pm – Drayton Valley – Carlton East – Complainant reporting a theft in progress. Male and female are stealing the complainant’s stuff.

7:29 PM – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a possible impaired driver in a dark blue Pontiac G6. Vehicle was all over the road, tailgating. Member located vehicle and spoke with registered owner regarding their manner of driving.

7:32 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complainant reporting theft of vehicle. 3 males walked up their driveway and got into their friends 2003 Black F-350 and drove off. Two males had hoods up. Tidy tank in the back. Member patrolled the area, negative results.

March 2

12:48 am – Drayton Valley – Pleasantview Trailer Park – Complainant reporting assault. Ex attacked current boyfriend with a sledgehammer. One male charged with Assault with a Weapon.

1:06 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant stating that their truck was stolen earlier in the night and has now received text messages and phone calls from suspects who are trying to extort money for return of vehicle.

2:42 am – Lodgepole – Complainant reporting suspicious males on the roof. Members attended, everything secure.

4:06 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Alarm going off. Members attended, side door had blown open. Building cleared, no signs of Break and Enter. False alarm.

9:19 am – Brazeau County – RR 81 – Complainant advised they were southbound on RR 81 when a deer entered the roadway and collided with the driver’s side door.

9:50 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 759 – Complainant advised that they were traveling south on Hwy 759 when a deer ran onto the roadway and collided with their vehicle.

10:21 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant calling to report very icy conditions and poor visibility due to blowing snow. Some vehicles in the ditch. Member attended and located a silver Mercedes in the north ditch. 2 occupants in the vehicle. Lost control no injuries.

10:32 am – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Complainant reporting female walked into business talking strangely. Members attended and located known female who left when requested to.

10:50 am – Drayton Valley – 43A Street – Complainant reporting the DEF was removed from their 2016 Silver ford F-250 sometime over the past month.

11:00 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – Complainant called to report they found a drug kit. Member attended and seized drugs. 2.5 g of Methamphetamine.

1:08 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Complainant reporting theft of cable from a secured fenced-in area. Believe suspects squeezed between a chain-link fence. No damage. Occurred sometime over the weekend.

3:10 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a reckless semi driver northbound. Semi-truck is hauling a full load of lumber and blew through a stop sign and almost hit another vehicle. Member patrolled the area and then contacted the owner of the company who indicated that the driver had warned him the police might call as he did not see the stop sign until the last minute.

3:21 pm – Drayton Valley – Beckett Road – Complainant concerned over friend who appears to be incoherent. Members attended along with EMS.

4:38 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – 911 call – When spoken to, advised they accidentally dialed 911 as they were trying to dial out and needed to dial 9 then 1 for long-distance. Very apologetic.

6:00 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting an assault the previous day.

9:06 pm – Rocky Rapids – Complainant reporting 2 patrons had waited around for them after work then followed them home. Suspects were in a Black Chrysler 300. Member conducted patrols, vehicle not located.

11:18 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant reporting one male and one female are in the back alley yelling for the past 10 minutes. Members attended, parties separated.

11:39 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Alarm going off at restaurant. Members attended, cleaners were on site. False alarm.

March 3

8:10 am – Parkland County – Complainant reporting a break and enter to their garage overnight. Entry made through the garage side door. Once inside they broke into a truck which was parked in the garage, 2 bows along with some arrows were stolen.

10:13 am – Drayton Valley – 51 Street – Complainant called to report they found 3 bicycle tires on their property. Turned into the detachment.

1:12 pm – Drayton Valley – MacKenzie Avenue – Complainant reporting suspicious males on foot heading towards Aurora Elementary School. 3 males wearing dark clothing. One knocked on the complainant’s door and asked if they had any bottles. Member attended and located suspects who were conducting a bottle drive.

3:11 pm – Lodgepole – Complainant reporting they need assistance with removing person who was evicted from premises 2 months previous and has not yet left. Complainant was hired to clean up the residence. Member attended and spoke with both parties. Landlord-tenant issue.

3:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 58 Street – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle is following them in a black vehicle. 2 males, has followed them home the past two nights.

4:48 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – Complainant reporting a possible stolen vehicle parked behind the apartment for the past week. Member attended, vehicle had been stolen out of Leduc on February 24. Vehicle towed.

4:59 pm – Brazeau County – RR 83 – Complainant reporting a landlord-tenant dispute. Member attended and spoke with all parties.

6:23 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting a hit and run in the Walmart parking lot. Vehicle hit causing scratches to front bumper.

6:40 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Complainant reporting the traffic lights were malfunctioning. Member attended, lights were working properly.

7:23 pm – Brazeau County – RR 75 – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle parked at the mailbox. Black 2000 Dodge truck with a lone male occupant. Members attended, vehicle gone upon arrival.

7:47 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Complainant reporting an abandoned Chrysler 300 in the ditch near the dump. Member attended and located the vehicle occupied. Registered owner was trying to pull the vehicle out of the ditch.

8:16 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant calling to report a possible intoxicated driver in a white Chevrolet Truck. Vehicle is all over the road, lone male driver. Member patrolled area, vehicle not located. Member contacted the registered owner of the vehicle and advised them of the manner of driving.

9:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting a purple Chevrolet Traverse ran a red light and was driving all over the road. Member located vehicle which was registered to complainant’s ex. Driver was not intoxicated.

March 4

2:11 am – Drayton Valley – 22 Avenue – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle. Member attended, and located male who was hanging out with friend. Outstanding warrant from EPS.

9:14 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting the gate lock was cut and a locked job shack broken into. Miscellaneous tools, gloves, water, and a battery press were stolen. Suspects also cut the hose on the propane tank and stole it.

9:33 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant advised they were cleaning a room when they found a needle full of drugs. Members attended and seized needle.

9:46 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Members on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Warning issued to driver for failing to stop before entering an intersection.

11:28 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle. An older model white Dodge pickup is driving around a lease site. No reason to be there. Members located vehicle several hours later. Vehicle had been stolen from Breton. Driver arrested.

12:21 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant reporting theft of their licence plate off their truck sometime overnight.

12:40 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant advised that a newer red Dodge Ram has been parked on the street for the past few days. Member attended, truck is legally parked, not stolen.

1:09 pm – Brazeau County – Joshua Blvd. – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle driving slowly in front of all houses on the street. Someone attempted to approach vehicle but it sped away.

1:31 pm – Brazeau County – RR 70 – 911 open line. Member attended, high winds causing issues, faulty phone line, all fine.

2:28 pm – Brazeau County – RR 85 – Complainant called to report they hit slush on the road and lost control of their vehicle and the truck rolled and is in the ditch. Member attended, no injuries.

3:25 pm – Drayton Valley – Frank Maddock High School – Complainant attended the detachment with parent to report a fight which took place the previous day. Complainant had been punched in the face.

4:24 pm – Brazeau County – RR 83 – Landlord-Tenant dispute. Ongoing issues. Members have attended several times. Landlord keeps blocking in complainant as they have not paid any rent. All parties advised to go through proper channels to resolve.

5:08 PM – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol observed stolen white Dodge from an earlier complaint being driven by a known male offender. Vehicle followed, attempted to flee, short foot chase ensued in which one police officer was bit by male suspect. Male arrested and charged with several offences. Held for JIR hearing.

5:33 pm – Parkland County – Complainant reporting an erratic driver on HWY 22. Silver Thunderbird was speeding and passing in a dangerous manner. Members patrolled area, vehicle not located.

5:35 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Complainant calling to report male is locked in bathroom. Member attended and spoke with library staff who advised male had left.

6:24 pm – Brazeau County – RR 83 – Landlord-tenant dispute. Complainant called again to report landlord has shut off water and power. Members attended. Matter is civil, however, there are some criminal aspects and charges may be followed up with.

6:45 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant requesting a wellbeing check on friend they haven’t heard from in a few days. Member spoke with complainant and advised female is well known to them and they have observed and spoken with female and they are fine.

11:34 pm – Drayton Valley – Derrick Lounge – Complainant reporting a female attempting to break the business windows. Members attended and located known female who was arrested for mischief and intoxicated in public. Complainant does not wish charges. Female held until sober then released.

March 5

12:49 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting suspicious activity. Multiple truck drivers are reporting a suspicious male in the area. Male parked their vehicle by the propane tanks, then disappeared. Members attended, vehicle gone.

4:42 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complainant reporting a possible break and enter into a garage down the back alley. Grey Ford F-250 backed into the garage and 3 males have garage door open. Member attended, no vehicle observed, garage doors all secure.
