Seven arrested, drugs and weapons seized by Mounties in Red Deer

RCMP say charges are pending after seven people were arrested following search warrants at multiple locations in Red Deer on Thursday.

The warrants were executed by Red Deer RCMP, along with the assistance of the RCMP Emergency Response Team.

At approximately 2:00 p.m. on Feb. 27, police say search warrants were executed at two residences for drug and weapon related offences.

There was a heavy police presence in the area of 47A Avenue and 55 Street and 58 Avenue in Highland Green.

Multiple firearms as well as drugs for the purposes of trafficking were seized from two residences. Six people were arrested at these addresses.

A seventh arrest occurred on 49 Street and 48 Avenue with the assistance of ERT in connection to the above search warrants.
