Man dies after crashing into power pole north of Innisfail

A man has died after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a power pole north of Innisfail overnight.

Innisfail RCMP say the crash happened at around 12:30 a.m. at Highway 54 and Township Road 360.

“Preliminary investigation revealed the car was travelling westbound on Township Road 360 when a collision occurred with a pole,” reads an RCMP media release. “The lone occupant, a 54-year-old male driver from Innisfail, was pronounced deceased at the scene.”

Innisfail RCMP continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
