A Sylvan Lake man accused of killing his wife last summer will learn later this year if his case has enough evidence to go to trial.
A three-day preliminary hearing will take place Sept. 21-23 for 42-year-old Satnam Singh Sandhu.
Sandhu is charged with second-degree murder in the death of 36-year-old Kulvinder Sandhu who died in hospital on Sept. 14, 2019, three days after suffering serious injuries during an incident at a residential neighbourhood.
In Red Deer Provincial Court on Monday, Judge Gordon Yake ordered a Punjabi interpreter be present for the preliminary hearing and for Satnam Sandhu to appear in-person.
