EDMONTON- The agency that investigates serious police actions has concluded RCMP officers did not contribute to a rollover that killed a 16-year-old in August 2018.
The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team says officers in Sherwood Park were trying to pull over a GMC Yukon believed to have been stolen.
The driver of the SUV sped away over a grass boulevard and through some trees with Mounties in pursuit.
ASIRT says its investigation has confirmed that the officers ended the chase and pulled over before the suspect vehicle rolled at a freeway off ramp, killing the teen passenger.
