Trial booked for man arrested in Innisfail police standoff
An man arrested following a standoff with police in Innisfail in November is going to trial.
Tyler James Ratledge, 33, faces 19 charges including possession of stolen property over $5000, possession of a prohibited firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, unsafe storage of a firearm, fail to comply with recognizance (two counts), possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, possession of break-in tools, driving without insurance and registration, and driving while disqualified.
Ratledge pleaded not guilty in Red Deer provincial court on Jan. 10. A trial date has been set for Aug. 5, 2020.
On the afternoon of Nov. 13, 2019, Innisfail Mounties conducting targeted patrols observed a van that had been stolen from the University of Calgary that morning.
