Help the Safe Harbour Society this holiday season
Safe Harbour Society is hoping the Red Deer community will step up by purchasing some essential items to help their clients during the holiday season.
People or groups can support overnight shelter guests by purchasing backpacks and filling them with items such as gloves, socks, toiletries, nail clippers, chap stick, hand and feet warmers, nuts, sweets and coffee and food gift cards. Officials say it would cost about $500 to support all 20 guests at the shelter.
It would cost you about $400 to support 15 guests at the men’s detox facility by purchasing bags or backpacks filled with things like pyjama bottoms, socks, toiletries, combs and razors.
Individuals are also invited to donate whatever they can afford towards the purchase of these items.
