Drayton Valley RCMP Report: Oct. 24-31

October 24

8:11 am – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Complainant reporting their white 2017 Dodge Ram Truck was broken into overnight. Several personal papers were taken. Passenger window was broken to gain entry.

10:09 am – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant reporting theft of their white 2004 Ford F350. Tools and clothing in the vehicle.

2:14 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting identity theft and fraud. Complainant received a text message advising their phone number had been ported to another provider, then they started receiving alerts stating that their email, PayPal and Gmail passwords had been changed. Shortly after, they received a message that $4300 and $275 had been processed by PayPal.

October 25

10:09 am – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported that the license plate was stolen off his pickup while parked in a motel lot.

11:27 am – Drayton Valley – 40 St – Complainant reported teen daughter missing. Under investigation, she is believed to be with friends in town.

12:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 Ave – Member who was off duty observed a truck parked that he suspected was stolen. Contacted on-duty members who confirmed truck stolen out of Red Deer. Owner advised, truck towed. No suspects.

2:01 pm – Brazeau County – Lodgepole area – Members responded with EMS to a report of a male in a rural area, suffering from a gunshot wound. The male was transported to hospital in Edmonton for treatment of what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. Not a criminal investigation.

7:16 pm – Drayton Valley – Hwy 22/50 St N – Member attended a two vehicle collision. One driver ticketed for unsafe turn. Both trucks damaged and towed from scene.

7:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant witnessed a rear-end collision by Scotiabank. Male in white newer Chevy pickup rear-ended a parked vehicle. Driver then got out and ran off. Under investigation.

October 26

3:08 am – Drayton Valley – 50 St/56 Ave – Members attended a residence to assist Paramedics with a female suffering from drug withdrawal. Female required sedation and was transported to hospital for treatment.

9:56 am – Hwy 759 – Tomahawk area – Complainant reporting his white Dodge 2001 Dodge pickup stolen from his driveway overnight. Alberta plate 30M356.

4:29 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reported a break and enter to his seasonal residence. Under investigation.

8:37 pm – Brazeau County – Rocky Mountain House RCMP request assistance with unknown disturbance. Suspect believed to be heading to Drayton Valley area. Members patrolled area, and were advised shortly after that they had one person in custody. No further assistance required.

October 27

6:27 AM – Drayton Valley – 39 Avenue – Complainant reporting suspicious activity. Quad just went through the open pasture and parked in the bushes. Members attended, and male and female located. Faron Olson, 31, and 24-year-old Miranda Tabbert were both arrested and charged with possession of stolen property. Both were held for a hearing. Olson was released.

10:43 am – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Complainant reporting their vehicle had been vandalised overnight. Drivers side back window had been broken on their black 2018 GMC pickup. Several personal documents and tools taken.

11:03 am – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Complainant reporting their 1998 silver Dodge Ram 1500 stolen sometime overnight.

5:03 PM – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting theft of copper wire. Estimated loss approximately $20,000.

October 28

11:53 am – Brazeau county – RR 73 – Complainant reporting theft of their 2006 Dodge 1500, white in colour.

12:05 pm – Drayton Valley – Omniplex Parking Lot – Complainant reporting an abandoned truck. Window has been broken and ignition tampered with. Members attended, vehicle stolen.

12:11 pm – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Complainant reporting someone cut the lock on their back gate and stole a wood splitter and a snowblower.

7:43 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Request members to attend as there is a male who is yelling and screaming in one of the rooms. Members attended, known male arrested for mischief.

October 29

7:06 am – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant reporting an attempted theft of their vehicle. 1997 Chevrolet Silverado had the window broken and the ignition tampered with.

8:04 am – Drayton Valley – 39 Avenue – Complainant reporting their 2007 blue Chevrolet Silverado was stolen from their driveway.

10:16 am – Drayton valley – 52 Avenue – Report received of a semi truck and trailer stolen out of Drayton Valley had been recovered in Sylvan Lake area.

October 30

8:13 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting unwanted males refusing to leave. Members attended and located both males who were subsequently arrested.

8:12 pm – Drayton Valley Swimming Pool – Complainant reporting a suspicious male, not swimming, just hanging out. Sitting in the boot room. Member attended and located known male looking for MAT program. Member provided courtesy ride.

October 31

12:37 am – Brazeau County – RR 64 – Complainant reporting a possible break and enter. Complainant observed a light on in a work trailer at work site. Compound not locked. Members attended and cleared area. Complainant advised that they observed a male by one of the trailers. Members patrolled area, male not located.

5:53 am – Lodgepole – Complainant reporting a break and enter. Male wearing a dark hoody left in a silver four door car.

5:43 am – Brazeau County – Request to assist fire department with vehicle fire. Pickup truck. Member attended.
