Rocky RCMP renew call for information into pedestrian death

Oct 21, 2019 | 3:44 PM

Rocky Mountain House RCMP continue to investigate a pedestrian fatality from last spring.

It was about 3 a.m. on May 17, 2019 when police say a 39-year-old mother of five was struck and killed on the Sunchild First Nation. The woman was walking on the main road, approximately two kilometres west of the school road when the collision occurred.

All information and tips received from the public have been followed up by RCMP, however a suspect vehicle has not been identified.

The RCMP are now refreshing their request for public assistance.

“Someone knows something about this incident, whether it’s because they were involved or because they heard something,” says Constable Kerry Jury. “We’re asking you to do the right thing, contact the RCMP, and help us provide closure to the victim’s family.”

Sunchild First Nation is located approximately 65 kilometres northwest of Rocky Mountain House.

Anyone with information about this investigation should call the Rocky Mountain House RCMP at 403-845-2882 or their local police service.
