Lacombe Police lay over 20 drug & firearms charges

LACOMBE- On October 14, Lacombe Police initiated a traffic stop in the area of Highway 2A for a traffic offence.

Both occupants of the vehicle were found to have outstanding warrants.

During a search of the vehicle police located a large quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl.

A further search of the vehicle found a rifle with the serial numbers removed.

A quantity of Canadian currency, scales, individual packaging and a number of cell phones were also located.

Christian Matthew Dunlop, 40, of Red Deer faces firearms and drug charges including possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.

Bradley John Johnston, 50, of Castor is facing similar charges.

Both are scheduled to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court.
