Mounties seize guns, drugs and cash in Drumheller bust

DRUMHELLER- RCMP seized guns, drugs and cash after a complaint from a resident lead Mounties to a Thanksgiving haul in Drumheller.

After receiving the complaint of a suspicious vehicle on Friday, RCMP located a 2004 Audi stationwagon matching the description provided.

Police found the license plates did not match the vehicle and detained a woman occupant of the car as she exited a nearby business.

Mounties entered the business in search of a second suspect who attempted to flee on foot but he was caught and was in possession of a stolen handgun and a large amount of cash.

A subsequent search of the vehicle found more handguns, methamphetamine and a substance suspected to be liquid GHB – also known as the date-rape drug.

Tyson McDonald-Sherba, 24, of Trochu and April Margaret Couturier, 32, of Drumheller are both facing multiple drug and firearm charges related to the incident.
