Six Rebels prospects to play at WHL Cup
Six Red Deer Rebels prospects will represent their province at the 2019 WHL Cup.
Hunter Mayo (SK), Parker Lalonde (SK), Jhett Larson (SK), Justen Maric (AB), Jace Weir (BC), and Carter Anderson (MB) have been named to their provincial teams for the tournament happening at the Markin MacPhail Centre in Calgary later this month.
Mayo was selected 23rd overall by the Rebels at the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft in Red Deer. Weir was selected 38th overall, Anderson 51st overall, Maric 98th overall, Lalonde 114th overall and Larson 163rd overall.
Red Deer natives Nate Danielson, selected fifth overall by the Brandon Wheat Kings, and Tyler Mackenzie, a Medicine Hat Tigers draft pick, will also play for Team Alberta.
