Sustainable building principles featured at upcoming Passive House workshop at RDC

Oct 3, 2019 | 9:36 AM

Red Deer College is committed to being a leader in sustainability initiatives and alternative energy generation. Since the launch of RDC’s Alternative Energy Initiative, we have partnered with community organizations to provide learning opportunities in this growing sector.

On November 2, RDC is pleased to share in a new course being presented by Passive House Alberta. This non-profit organization is dedicated to leading Alberta’s commitment to building sustainability. Passive House Alberta offers industry-leading education and awareness tools about building sustainability for all Albertans including government, builders, developers, architects and homeowners.

The upcoming workshop will offer the first in a series of short courses to introduce the principles of Passive House design. The first one-day course is geared toward homeowners and others who want to learn how to incorporate Passive House principles into their next build or renovation to enjoy a more comfortable, healthier and affordable home.
