Weekly recap: September 19-21

This past week both Red Deer College Soccer teams earned impressive victories against the Ambrose University Lions in Calgary.

In non-conference hockey action, the Kings and Queens picked up wins.

Here is a summary of what happened recently in RDC Athletics:

Queens Soccer | Saturday, September 21 | Ambrose University

The RDC Queens (2-3-0) shutout the Ambrose University Lions (0-5-0) by a score of 3-0 in Calgary. Bachelor of Science Nursing student Alisha Coules contributed two goals and one assist. Bachelor of Education Elementary student Bailey Richarde had one marker and one helper. Queens goalkeeper Alethea Riemer made six saves for the win. The Queens share fifth in the south.

Kings Soccer | Saturday, September 21 | Ambrose University

The second place Red Deer College Kings Soccer team (3-1-1) earned a 5-0 decision over the Ambrose University Lions (0-4-0) on the road. Midfielder Gabriel Martins Fonseca had a pair of goals. Pedro Humberto Mourao Neto, Dagan Slimmon and Hayden Jacobs added singles for RDC. Lacombe’s Jacob Hamilton and Calgary’s Austin Langdon shared time in the Kings net.
