MORINVILLE- An Edmonton-based soldier accused of lighting her home on fire while her three children were inside has made an appearance in Morinville Provincial Court on Thursday.
The 41-year-old Canadian Armed Forces corporal — whose name is under a publication ban — was charged last month by military police with three counts of attempted murder and two counts of arson.
The charges stem from a house fire at CFB Edmonton in July 2015 that military police had initially ruled was accidental.
But they say third-party information made them re-assess and re-open the investigation.
