Four residents evacuate during large house fire in southeast Red Deer

Sep 14, 2019 | 10:17 AM

A single-family house in southeast Red Deer went up in flames during the early morning hours on Friday.

Red Deer Emergency Services Duty Chief Matt White confirms a home at 84 Lamont Close in Lancaster was responded to by 20 personnel around 3 a.m. on September 13. The roof was fully involved upon arrival, he says.

There were four occupants of the home who evacuated themselves safely thanks to working smoke alarms, and were also the ones to call 9-1-1. There were no injuries.
