Sylvan Lake Municipal Library hosts 8th Annual Zombie Walk

Sep 9, 2019 | 2:27 PM

Central Albertans will transform themselves into gory, gruesome, and glamourous zombies for Sylvan Lake Municipal Library’s Silver Screen Zombie Walk at 1:00-2:30 p.m. on September 21, 2019.

The Zombie Walk is a battle between the Zombie Hunters, who bring their own Nerf guns, and the Silver Screen Zombies, who are dressed to dazzle and dismay. Prizes are awarded for the best costumes, which should be inspired by the glamour of Hollywood, but with a zombie twist.

Registration is required for this event. People can register in person at the library, by emailing sylvan.library@prl.ab.ca, or by calling the library at 403-887-2130.

In the past, the library’s annual Zombie Walk has attracted over 60 participants, ranging in ages from one to 80.

“Every year, we pick a new theme, and the participants always impress with their creativity and passion. I can’t wait to see what they come up with for Silver Screen Zombies,” said Corrie Brown, Programmer at Sylvan Lake Municipal Library. “This was the first program I created when I started working at the Library, and I love how much it’s changed and grown over the years. We’ve done colour dye and paint balls and Nerf guns and insanely amazing costumes.”
