Drugs, weapons and property seized in Red Deer stolen vehicle arrests
An investigation by the RCMP’s Crime Reduction Team this week has led to police laying dozens of charges against a man and woman from Red Deer and the seizure of stolen property, drugs and weapons.
On Sept. 4, Mounties say members were conducting an investigation into a stolen vehicle in the Eastview area of Red Deer, when the vehicle stopped at a residence.
Police say the occupants of the vehicle were arrested, with officers seizing one rifle, one shotgun, drugs, including fentanyl and methamphetamine, identification cards, credit cards, and other suspected stolen property after a search of the vehicle.
As a result, RCMP say 53 Criminal Code charges have been laid.
