Car takes out street light in Penhold

PENHOLD- Two people were injured when a car crashed into a light standard in Penhold on Monday.

Firefighters responded to the crash on Waskasoo Avenue around 1:30 p.m.

The impact caused heavy damage to the light standard and the vehicle. The light was knocked off the pole and bare wires were left hanging.

Fortis was called in to deal with the situation and traffic was down to one lane for about an hour.
