Drayton Valley weekly RCMP report July 18-25

July 18

11:44 am – Brazeau County – Complainant attended detachment to report their wallet had been lost. All cards cancelled.

1:09 pm – Drayton Valley – Blue Oasis – Complaint received of an unwanted person entered the residence. Unknown who person is as they left prior to occupants coming home.

3:53 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a speeding red Chevrolet truck hauling a white trailer was speeding through the construction zone knocking over a couple of signs. Member attended and patrolled the area, vehicle not located.

8:48 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 749 – Complainant reporting a possible intoxicated driver in a grey ford F150. Vehicle is all over the road. One male occupant. Member patrolled area, vehicle not located.

July 19

8:12 am – Drayton Valley – 50A Street – Complainant reporting a break and enter to the Lincoln County Oilfield Services yard overnight. Suspect is a tall male with a camo ball cap, blue jeans, oversized black sweater and large gum boots. Driving a sedan type vehicle. One gas can stolen.

10:02 am – Drayton Valley – 56 Avenue – Complainant reporting that someone cut the lock on the gate and locks on C-cans at Complete Supplies. A few propane tanks, extinguishers, mitre saw and circular saw were stolen.

2:32 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Complainant reporting they bought a vehicle last month and made several payments on it, however person they bought the vehicle from would not give them the vehicle. Complainant took vehicle and owner wants it back. Threatened complainant. Complainant woke up today and vehicle and belongings were gone. Vehicle is a Silver 2003 Pontiac Grand Am.

4:08 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting fraudulent activity on company bank account. Loss of approximately $10,000. Matter under investigation.

July 20

12:04 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting theft of a burgundy 1998 Chevrolet Silverado. Vehicle stolen at 4 a.m.

9:53 pm – Drayton Valley – 55A Avenue – Complainant reporting a break and enter to C-can. Nothing stolen.

July 21

12:08 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Member on patrol initiated a traffic stop with a vehicle on RR 83. Occupants are on no contact conditions to be together. Both arrested for failing to comply.

6:22 am – Drayton Valley – Mr. Mikes – Complainant reporting two people taking bottles from Mr. Mike’s recycling bin. Member attended and located individuals who returned the bottles.

11:00 am – Brazeau County – Gravel Pits RR 71 – Complainant advised of a wrecked vehicle at the gravel pits by Wiley West. Members attended, vehicle down embankment. Older model Ford. VIN had been scratched off, no licence plate.

2:07 pm – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 492 – Complainant reporting a bear in their yard. Bear not aggressive just eating bird seed. Member contacted Fish and Wildlife.

5:05 pm – Drayton Valley – Lydell Group – Complainant reporting unwanted female on property in a white ford F150. Member attended, plate stolen, single female occupant. Arrested stolen property located in vehicle and seized.

July 22

8:50 am – Parkland County – Complainant reporting a burned out vehicle, still smoldering. Possibly a Dodge, 4 door with a possible picker in the back. Members attended, vehicle reported stolen. Vehicle destroyed.

9:35 am – Brazeau County – RR 80 – Complainant reporting someone had taken coiled up copper cables and dragged them into the forest. Members attended, matter still under investigation.

9:25 am – Brazeau County – RR 64 – Complainant reporting their vehicle stolen from residence. Related to the abandoned burned out vehicle reported earlier.

July 23

5:51 am – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge Trailer Court – Complainant reporting their 1997 blue F250 was stolen from driveway

11:23 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a 1994 white Dodge 2500 was stolen. Vehicle has a 500L fuel tank in the back.

4:46 pm – Tomahawk – Kountry Kitchen restaurant – Complainant reporting an attempted theft overnight. Someone attempted to steal copper off their industrial cooler and freezer. Freezer now not working.

July 24

5:13 am – Drayton Valley – Aspen Motor Inn Food Store – Member called to a break and enter. Front Door pried open, cigarettes and lotto tickets stolen.

11:36 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a break and enter to a lease site. Large amount of copper wire stolen.

4:47 pm – Drayton Valley – 7-11 – Complainant reporting a female approximately 30 years old wearing a black jacket and white and black pants stole ice cream.

July 25

3:49 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 620- Complainant reporting an injured coyote in the driving lanes near Violet Grove. Member attended and euthanized animal.

4:12 am – Lodgepole – Complainant reporting an audible alarm went off. Two broken windows in the bar. Suspects stole approximately 10 bottles of hard liquor.

6:17 am – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge Liquor Store – Complainant reporting window broken overnight. Does not appear that entry was gained.

7:35 am – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Complainant reporting theft of their 2010 Toyota Rav 4 overnight. Has damage to passenger side. Wallet left in vehicle.
