Buffalo Lake development proposal remains no-go for now
Plans to develop an outdoor recreational facility on the south shore of Buffalo Lake in the County of Stettler appear to be dead in the water for now.
On Tuesday, County officials announced the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) had upheld the Development Authority’s previous decision to refuse the application.
The SDAB’s ruling followed a hearing on June 5 that the Appellant’s application for a development permit submitted on Mar. 28, 2019 was incomplete.
According to the Appellant, the proposed development included 318 ancillary campsites or RV stalls spread out over 83.4 acres at Paradise Shores RV Resort and was intended to support the primary use of the property.
