School bus drivers to show off their skills in Red Deer

On Saturday, Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools, Chinook’s Edge School Division and Prairie Bus Lines are partnering together to host the 39th annual Alberta School Bus Roadeo.

The event will be held in the École Secondaire Notre Dame High School (50 Lees Street) parking lot in Red Deer from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

There will be over 100 participants representing bus carriers and school division transportation departments from across the province.

The provincial school bus roadeo is an important event highlighting the skill and judgment of professional school bus drivers. The very best drivers will compete for first place to bring the award and honour of being ”the best” to their school district or company.

The overall winner from both the large and small bus competition will represent Alberta in the international school bus roadeo in Austin, Texas in July.
