Drayton Valley weekly RCMP report May 30-June 6

May 30

8:54 a.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting approximately 20 metres of phone cable stolen from Telus site.

9:11 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Wal Mart – Complainant reporting a hit and run to their vehicle while parked. Damage to front end of black 2018 Nissan Titan.

4:12 pm – Drayton Valley Wal Mart – Complainant reporting individual responsible for break and enter to Canadian Tire went into Walmart and tried to take $400 of belongings.

10:12 pm – Drayton Valley – 7-11 – Complainant reporting damage to gas pump. Customer purchased gas, then broke the gas hose. Non intentional.

May 31

2:04 a.m. – Brazeau County – RR 85 – 911 call received, members attended and located intoxicated room mates had got into a fight and one punched the other. Neither wanted to pursue charges. No injuries. Parties separated.

2:48 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Valley Concrete – Alarm to building. Member attended, building had been broken into. Suspect vehicle located and towed.

4:06 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 911 reporting a disturbance. Complainant was sitting in their vehicle when a male approximately 20 years old wearing a black tank top and jeans ca.m.e from a residence up the road and started yelling at them. Attempted to break their head lights. Threw a beer at the complainant. Member patrolled area, male had left, could not determine which residence ca.m.e from.

6:37 a.m. – Brazeau county – RR 84 – Complainant reporting stolen property found. A jeep stolen from a tow compound along with numerous tools were recovered.

10:25 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a padlock broken to a building. Large orange battery stolen.

8:41 pm – Drayton Valley – Drayton Manor – Complainant reporting a stolen vehicle. 2002 red Ford Explorer. Vehicle is unlocked. Member attended, vehicle had been stolen on Tuesday evening.

June 1

1:50 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Derrick Lounge – Complainant reporting three individuals doing drugs in bathroom. Members attended, one male arrested and held till sober the following day.

4:46 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Lakeview – Complainant reporting suspicious activity. Three males with balaclavas attempted to get into the hotel. Left in an older model Silverado towards 7-11. Wearing wind breakers, blue jeans and running shoes. Members patrolled area, vehicle not located.

8:27 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Complainant reporting theft of silver 2015 Jeep Cherokee sometime overnight.

10:13 a.m. – Tomahawk. – Complainant reporting theft of red 2005 Honda 450 quad.

5:08 pm – Drayton Valley – RR 73 – Complainant reporting an injured black bear. Member attended. Bear had taken off. Second member attended location later with Fish and Wildlife officer, bear has injured foot, however healthy. Advised complainant to be cautious.

5:39 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting their ex punched them in the face. Complainant went to get their vehicle and a fight broke out. Members attended, charges laid.

7:39 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Complainant reporting shop broken into, tools missing. Attempted to take one of the vehicles.

June 2

2:48 pm – Brazeau County – RR 71 – Complainant reporting stolen property located. A purse with identification had been dumped on the trail. Property was related to a stolen vehicle file from previous day. Owner contacted.

6:21 pm – Drayton Valley – Jocelyn’s Independent Grocery – Complainant reporting a female in the store appears to be on drugs. Member attended, female had left. Patrols made, female not located until later on. Arrested and held in cells until sober.

10:01 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complainant reporting a suspicious male dragging a garbage bin. Member located male and seized bin which contained copper wire.

10:05 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting female running in front of vehicles. She was almost hit. Members attended and arrested female for public mischief.

June 3

1:11 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Member on patrol located suspect on a bike which was stolen. Suspect threw the bike down on the street and started yelling at member for taking their copper wire earlier. Male arrested for intoxicated in public and held until sober.

9:43 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Seasons Retirement Community – Complainant reporting their rear licence plate stolen from truck.

June 4

7:08 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 40 Street – Complainant reporting theft of white 2006 Chevrolet Silverado. Vehicle has a 6” lift, 35” tires with black and aluminum rims and tinted head lights. Vehicle was locked.

9:13 a.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting theft of four batteries from solar panel on lease site.

June 5

3:48 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Member on patrol observed known female. Queries indicated a warrant for arrest, also on conditions. Kerra Korsa, 40, arrested for warrant and breach of conditions. Held for bail hearing.

8:41 a.m. – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a single vehicle collision. White Chevrolet Equinox is in the ditch, driver’s door open. No one observed around. Members attended, registered owner contacted. Driver had been taken to hospital by passerby.

11:22 a.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant called to report they received a call advising that their belongings that were in their stolen truck had been located on a lease site by Buck Lake.

2:41 pm – Drayton Valley – Community Health Centre – Complainant called to report they found a hand gun. Member attended. Gun was a pellet gun, however had been spray painted to make it appear like a real hand gun. Hand gun seized.

4:25 pm – Drayton Valley – 48A Street – Complainant reporting an erratic driver in a red dodge SUV. All over the road. Member attended residence of registered owner. Mechanical problems with vehicle. Urged to get it looked at.

8:44 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – Complainant reporting suspicious vehicles. Three vehicles pulled up and four individuals got out and went to a nearby house and began pounding on the door. Member attended. Father was angry that daughter was staying at the residence. Father took daughter back home.

June 6

3:59 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Queries indicated driver was wanted on outstanding warrant from Edmonton. Driver arrested and released for court in Edmonton
