Drayton Valley RCMP weekly report Apr. 16–25

April 16

12:47 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting they are on no contact conditions with ex, however they keep calling them. Advised to provide statement regarding same and to keep track of all the calls received.

1:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Complainant called 911 as they were locked out of their residence. Members attended, residence is marital property. Complainant had kicked in the door to the garage. Complainant arrested for mischief to property.

2:49 pm – Drayton Valley – Jocelyn’s Independent – Complainant reported a hit and run to their 2007 black GMC Yukon while parked in the parking lot. Damage to front passenger door.

3:21 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Members were called to a complaint of an assault between female and ex. Members attended.

4:19 pm – Drayton Valley – ATB – Complainant reports an employee deposited their pay check in December, was let go in January and then deposited the same check in March. Matter is under investigation for fraud.

8:26 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting that persons are withdrawing funds from her bank account. Complainant does not know the persons. Matter is under investigation.

9:32 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting a possible stolen vehicle. Two males were observed with flashlights and left in a white older model Ford pickup. Members were in area and located the vehicle. The pair were working at a sight and vehicle was registered to the driver.

9:47 pm – Drayton Valley – Hillcrest Manor – complaint received of a suspicious red truck has been parked for over an hour with a male and female occupant. Member attended, vehicle was gone upon arrival.

10:43 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant called to report their previously stolen play station has been located via IP address. Members investigated, unknown exact location.

April 17

3:16 am – Rocky Rapids – Complainant reporting a red 2006 Ford F350 was stolen. Vehicle located shortly after with some damage.

4:47 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a dark coloured lifted truck is sitting on the side of the road. This vehicle is related to the previous stolen vehicle.

5:06 am – Drayton Valley – Continuum health care – 911 abandoned call. Ongoing issues. False alarm.

6:40 am – Brazeau County – RR 63 – Complainant request members attend as there is a injured deer sitting in the middle of the road. Fur everywhere, complainant had to swerve to avoid hitting it. Member attended, deer was gone upon arrival.

9:33 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting an abandoned vehicle at uptown laundry. Vehicle is a dirty burgundy GMC SUV with a tidy tank in the back seat. Member attended, vehicle confirmed stolen from Rocky Mountain House on April 1, 2019.

1:29 pm – Drayton Valley – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a two vehicle collision. One vehicle went through a stop sign and hit the other vehicle. Members attended along with Fire Department and EMS. One person charged.

2:03 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting theft of copper wire from lease site.

2:19 pm – Rocky Rapids – Complainant reporting theft of licence plate.

3:56 pm – Drayton Valley – Valley Fit ‘n Lean – Complainant reporting theft of Blue Yardworks gas push lawn mower from crawl space.

3:55 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Complainant reporting that ex tried to run them over with vehicle. Members attended, complainant had just been released from jail. Witness advised that complainant was not telling the truth. Complainant arrested again and released on conditions of no contact.

4:50 pm – Brazeau County – Ring Road – Complainant reporting an abandoned gold Ford F150 parked at the end of a lease site. Member attended, vehicle stolen from Seba Beach on March 25.

5:55 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting an erratic driver in a white small vehicle. Vehicle is swerving in lanes, all over the road. Driver was a male. Member patrolled the area with negative results.

9:30 pm – Drayton Valley – Norquest College – Complainant reporting a white SUV is parked on empty parking lot. Member attended and located vehicle with two male occupants. One male was wanted on outstanding warrant and arrested.

10:03 pm – Brazeau County – RR 75 – Complainant reporting neighbour is trespassing on their property. Numerous previous complaints between them. Both parties spoken to, one party was looking for their lost dog.

April 18

3:16 am – Brazeau County – RR 75 – Complainant reporting a neighbour dispute. Related to previous complaint. One party claims to be looking for lost dog, complainant believes neighbour is purposely causing their dogs to bark and spook their cattle.

7:46 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting theft of trailer from lease site. Trailer is a 2012 Trail Tech CELRZ70, Black in colour.

9:31 am – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Complainant reporting uttering threats from ex boyfriend. Members located suspect and arrested 30-year-old Stephen Stagman. Stagman was held for a bail hearing and released with conditions.

11:06 am – Drayton Valley – Omniplex – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle. Black Dodge truck with big tires and skulls on the sides of the truck and a white pickup started a fire in the parking lot. Members attended, vehicles had left prior to arrival.

12:07 pm – Tomahawk – Complainant reporting a suspicious male on a quad with no helmet just entered the transfer station and is scavenging around. Members advised that Parkland County Peace Officers had stopped male.

12:35 pm – Drayton Valley – Greenwood Trailer Court – Complainant requesting member assistance with retrieving deceased fathers personal items. Father was renting a room and landlord will not give personal items back.

3:10 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complainant reporting a noise complaint. Teenagers near the playground at Evergreen School, swearing and screaming. Member attended and located individuals who were still swearing and yelling. Requested they keep down the noise. Suspects departed area.

6:16 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting a possible impaired driver in a tan Dodge 4×4 truck. Driver started driving straight on a green arrow and tried to pass the complainant in oncoming traffic in town. Members located vehicle and spoke with the driver who was not impaired.

7:01 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant attended the RCMP detachment to report receiving a text from a random number asking a question about a body. Member contacted sender of text. Was a prank.

9:34 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle. Vehicle suddenly shut off lights and drove down an alley when the complainant drove by. Members attended area, vehicle not located.

April 19

3:47 am – Drayton Valley – 57 Street – Member on patrol observed an older model Toyota Camry failing to come to a stop. Vehicle stop conducted, driver was suspended, vehicle seized for 30 days and towed.

6:46 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting an injured deer on the road. Member attended the scene, deer was deceased, member moved deer off road.

9:50 am – Drayton Valley – Scotty’s Esso – Complainant reporting a dark coloured Subaru covered in mud was west bound with male driver. Vehicle was driving in the ditch then back onto the road. Members located vehicle, vehicle not registered. Driver’s licence expired.

11:38 am – Lodgepole – Complainant reporting theft of jerry can from vehicle sometime over night. In addition, gas was siphoned from vehicle.

2:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant reported finding a small bag of meth in the corner of a couch which was recently given them. Members attended and seized drugs.

2:14 pm – Brazeau County – RR 73 – Request to assist Fire Department with a grass fire that turned into a structure fire. Members attended, no injuries.

6:23 pm – Parkland County – RR 62 – Complainant reporting an abandoned white Ford F150 in a field. Vehicle discovered by complainant while checking cattle. Member attended, vehicle towed and being held for further examination.

6:17 pm – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 492 – Complainant reporting a break and enter to trailer. Tools missing, member attended, false alarm.

7:24 pm – Lodgepole – Complainant reporting vehicle taken without permission. Vehicle is being driven erratically. Member contacted complainant. Vehicle is part of marital property, therefore not stolen. Members patrolled the area with negative results.

9:09 pm – Drayton Valley – MacKenzie Avenue – Complainant reporting dog barking for past hour and a half. Member attended, dog not barking, Dog is secured inside fence. Member spoke with the owner of the dog the following day who agreed to bring the dog in at night.

April 20

4:09 am – Complainant reporting that someone had called their place of work requesting to buy a bomb to blow up a house. Matter is still under investigation.

11:04 – Drayton Valley – 62 Street – Complainant reporting damage to fence. Two holes were cut into the fence along the property line of Trican Well Services. Occurred sometime over the past two days.

4:16 pm – Drayton Valley – 56A Avenue – Complainant reported son threatened them. Member attended residence. Family dispute. Parties separated.

8:16 pm – Drayton Valley – Westwood Inn – Complainant reporting a suspicious male was observed carrying bolt cutters. Took off in a silver four door car with tinted windows. Member patrolled area with negative results.

April 21

9:14 am – Brazeau County – RR 90 – Complainant reporting a suspicious blue older model GMC pulled up to their residence, one male occupant wearing a dark sweater. Vehicle sped off when the complainant went to see who it was. Member patrolled area, vehicle not located.

1:38 pm – Drayton Valley – 44A Avenue – Complainant requesting members conduct a wellbeing check on their brother who has not been heard from since last Tuesday. Members were able to get ahold of brother who was on a road trip with friend. All ok.

1:46 pm – Drayton Valley – Beckett Road – Complainant reporting theft of licence plate.

3:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Complainant reporting that they received a text from female advising that they were being assaulted by boyfriend. Members attended, 27 -year-old Jeremy Langille arrested and charged for assault. Held for a bail hearing and released on conditions.

3:51 pm – Braeau County – RR 81 – Complainant reporting two vehicles have been dumped over the bank towards the river. Member attended location, vehicles have been reported previously.

3:51 pm – Drayton Valley – Bellatrix Exploration – Complainant reporting theft from vehicle sometime over the past three days. Rear passenger window was broken on a white Ford F150.

9:02 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting white SUV with two occupants both wearing hoodies. Suspicious. Member patrolled area, vehicle not located.

April 22

12:23 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – Complainant reporting a bonfire too close to the house, concerned the house will catch on fire. Member attended and spoke with persons at the fire. They advised they would ensure the fire was out.

2:12 am – Drayton Valley – Greenwood Trailer Park – Complainant reporting a suspicious male is walking around the trailer park stealing bags of recycling. Complainant chased male into trees. Member attended and located male who advised they were collecting bottles.

11:34 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Complaint of breach of conditions. 27-year-old Jeremy Langille had been released earlier in the day and was now breaching conditions set out by court. Langille was once again arrested and held for a bail hearing and remanded.

1:24 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting someone took their bank card and deposited $800 into their account. Bank determined transaction was fraudulent.

1:27 pm – Drayton Valley – 7-11 – Complainant reporting a female stole chocolate bars and candy totalling $10. Suspect is described as 25-years-old, 5’4”, medium build, blond short hair, blue top and black leggings carrying a black purse. Matter still under investigation.

3:19 pm – Drayton Valley – 57 Avenue – Complainant reporting an old abandoned motorbike at the end of 57 Avenue. Member attended, Motorbike had been taken apart, only frame left behind.

7:02 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 39 – Complainant reporting an erratic driver swerving from side to side. Vehicle is a black GMC pickup truck. Member could not locate vehicle, however attended residence of registered owner who advised they had driven from Manitoba and were tired.

9:21 pm – Lodgepole – Member attempted traffic stop on suspicious vehicle which had been reported earlier. Vehicle did not stop and sped up.

10:02 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Complainant reporting an erratic driver swerving into oncoming traffic, almost hit the ditch. Vehicle described as a silver 2006 Dodge pickup, two occupants. Members patrolled the area and located the vehicle. Traffic stop was conducted, no sign of impairment and denied swerving on road. Driver admitted to having dog in front seat.

April 23

1:14 am – Drayton Valley – Pleasantview Trailer Court – Complainant reporting someone is in their house. Alarm just went off. Members attended and cleared the residence, no one other than complainant in residence. Alarm reset.

5:57 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 759 – Complainant reported hitting an elk, no injuries. Elk is still alive on the road. Member attended, elk was dead, member removed the animal from the road.

7:07 am – Drayton Valley – 911 call, operator heard baby talking on phone, member attended. No issues

7:31 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant reporting theft from vehicle sometime overnight. Approximately $10,000 worth of tools taken from 2017 grey Ford F250.

8:56 am – Brazeau County – Complaint received regarding animal wellbeing. Complainant stated that approximately 25 animals are dead on a farmers property. Member attended and checked the property with SPCA. Animals on site were deemed healthy and deaths were within allowances.

9:22 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complainant reporting suspicious activity around their garbage can. Complainant also reported that their sunroof on their truck had been tampered with as it wouldn’t close properly.

9:41 am – Drayton Valley – Wal Mart – Complainant calling to report female entered the store, selected many items and then went into the washroom before exiting the store without paying.

9:57 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting theft of copper wire from lease site. Suspect vehicle was a small red SUV which was leaving the site at a high rate of speed.

10:04 am – Drayton Valley – 7-11 – Complainant reporting male and female entered the store and stole some Redbull and Rockstars, approximately $20 worth. Female has long blonde hair, average build wearing a black hoodie and camo leggings. Male is approximately 6-feet-tall wearing a black baseball cap, brown hoody, red shorts and black shoes. Member attended, suspects had left on foot. Patrols made, with negative results. Matter still under investigation.

10:52 am – Drayton Valley – 49B Street – Complainant reporting someone broke into their blue 2017 Toyota Tacoma sometime overnight and stole some clothes, wallet, headphones and gym equipment.

11:09 am – Drayton Valley – Foxwood Inn – Complainant requests members attend to remove male who is causing a disturbance. Members attended and removed male as requested.

1:49 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a break and enter into an electrical building on a lease site.The lock and hasp were broken off, nothing stolen.

3:24 pm – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting an erratic driver in a Dodge truck with chrome around the fenders. Vehicle is passing on double solid line into oncoming traffic. Vehicle was northbound at Twp 514, Evansburg advised.

3:46 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complainant requesting a wellbeing check on a person who is lying in the alley. Member attended and located known male who was sleeping along a fence in the grass. Male departed when requested.

5:26 pm – Drayton Valley – Greenwood Trailer Court – Complainant reporting they wanted to obtain deceased fathers belongings, landlord spoken to and complainant advised they are able to retrieve belongings.

5:36 pm – Drayton Valley – Coach Motel – Complainant reporting male and female causing a disturbance. Both have been banned from the property. Members attended, suspects were gone.

8:15 pm – Drayton Valley – Greenwood Trailer Court – Complainant reporting threats from ex partners children. Children believe they have property that belongs to them. Members spoke with complainant who was extremely intoxicated.

8:28 pm – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge Trailer Court – Complainant reporting their 13- year-old was assaulted. Members attended, both parties were spoken to and advised that fighting was not the way to deal with issues.

8:39 pm – Drayton Valley – 7-11 – Complainant reporting a possible disturbance, heard a lot of yelling and screaming from a black van. Vehicle had left location. Members patrolled the area, however van not located. No further description provided.

April 24

1:50 am – Lodgepole – Complainant reports suspicious males and trucks unloading garbage into a lot. Members patrolled area with negative results.

6:16 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a horse running on the road on RR 75. Horse not located.

10:05 am – Brazeau County – RR 91 Hwy 620 – Complainant calling to report seven or eight cows on the road. Members attended the location and herded the cattle into a pasture.

10:22 am – Brazeau County – Lodgepole area – Complainant calling to report an abandoned damaged vehicle near Old Airport Road. Member attended.

12:22 pm – Brazeau County – Whitby Hall – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle, maroon Ford truck is driving on the range road and appears to be checking out properties. Vehicle pulled into complainants yard and a male and female exited then reversed out of the driveway. Member patrolled the area with negative results.

12:27 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting a break and enter to a fenced compound where their red 2007 Honda CRV was parked. Vehicle was stolen.

2:19 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant called to report that they received a Facebook message advising them that they had won $150,000 through Health and Tax. The fraudulent company sent them cheques from Virgin Mobile which they deposited into their account to pay for the $1000 Google pay card. Which was then sent to the company in order to access the winning money. The bank advised complainant that the cheques were fraudulent.

4:02 pm – Drayton Valley – McDonalds parking lot – Complainant is reporting a white Ford F150 has been parked in the lot for at least seven days. Members attended, vehicle was stolen out of Edmonton.

4:54 pm – Brazeau County – Pyramid Corp Compound – Complainant reporting that their drivers side window was broken on their 2019 Acura RDX. Small amount of change stolen.

9:07 pm – Drayton Valley – Country Style Trailer Court – Members requested to assist fire department with a shed fire.

April 25

1:05 am – Drayton Valley – Derrick Lounge – Complainant advising an aggressive male is throwing beer bottles. Members attended and advised male to leave. Male left with no further issues.

6:51 am – Drayton Valley – Country Style Trailer Court – Complainant reporting individual is running a skid steer. Very loud.
