Fundraising underway for Red Deer teen battling brain cancer
A local teen has the community of Red Deer on his side as he continues his battle with cancer.
Last November, Keagan Evans was dealing with right hand weakness and started noticing other neurological problems. An initial MRI revealed that there was a growth in his brain.
After the symptoms got worse for Keagan he had brain surgery in January, but the pathology came back on the tumor as grade 4 Glioblastoma, which is a very major brain cancer.
Keagan’s family started a GoFundME campaign to help his mom Shannon be with her son and for her to take time off of work. They also wanted to help with any medical bills the family might face, and to help Keagan cross some things off his bucket list.
