Wind the big Alberta weather story on the weekend

A potent low pressure system swept through Alberta this weekend bringing with it severe wind gusts to many areas of the province from Edmonton south to the Alberta border.

Other areas of the province saw heavy snowfall, other areas had to deal with freezing rain. 

Here are the wind reports from just a few of Environment Canada’s weather stations as of 9 p.m. on Sunday January 27.
