Massed Band Day set for CrossRoads Church

All middle school band students (Grades 6-9) in the Red Deer Catholic Regional School Division will come together to play in a band concert on January 30, 2019, at CrossRoads Church in Red Deer County (38105 Range Road 275) at 4:30 p.m.

“This is a wonderful event as it develops a sense of community across schools through a shared love of music,” says Tim Brehaut, coordinator of Massed Band Day, in a news release.

Leading up to the concert, students will be able to experience hands-on musical learning through clinics, rehearsals and activities.

The songs in the culminating band concert are given at the beginning of that day; therefore, students are able to spend the day practicing and perfecting the songs.
